Corbin ventured past the pedstal and onto the hovering stone tiles. They didn't even shake as he stood onto them, he was surprised they could hold his weight that easily.
The path seemed endless, however he carried on forward. He could feel his mouth getting dry, not only in game but also in real life. He was out of provisions in his room, he knew eventually he would have to leave his room and get some water however he wanted to prolong that as long as possible so that his family wouldn't see his new form. As far as Corbin could see his changes would reverse when the game was over, so he intended to finish it before leaving his room.
Corbin checked his inventory, there was no food or water left. He would have to restock soon, to avoid losing more of his stamina.
After about 10 minutes, Corbin could make out the end of the room. The cells that littered the walls had stopped passed a certain point. The only thing Corbin could see in front of him was what looked like a massive cage, nearly 5 times larger than the other ones. Around it was a not so subtle large platform, Corbin could smell a boss fight ahead. He turned around, perhaps it was a good idea to check those rooms after all, except there was no path behind him anymore. In fact the stone tiles were starting to fall behind him.
Corbin ran for it. Outrunning the ever increasing descent of the path, and jumped a second before the last tile fell onto the platform.
He was now trapped on this arena with whatever was in that cage. Corbin could hear labored breathing inside the cage, he looked forward and saw to his horror the same creature he met before...the minotaur. Except this one was alot larger, his muscles were torn against his skin, the bones ripping out of his chest, and arms. The hide was much thicker too, even though this didn't stop his bones trying to escape his body. His face was a lot more intense, with his features more well defined. His eyes were bloodshot red, his horns nearly the size of Corbins arms. The creature came up to about three times the size of Corbin.
Across its whole body, the creatures muscles were pulsating violently. They were shaking, trying to expand but failing due to a device around the creatures heart. It was dug into the creatures chest like a parasite. This was where the muscles were vibrating the most.
Corbin walked towards the creature, to get a closer look. Before he could make a single step though, the creature roared angrily noticing Corbin in front of him. It grapped the metal bars and shaked them violently. This led to nothing though since the cell looked pretty indestructible. This seemed too much for the creature though, as it lurched backwards in pain, on it’s back. The muscle shaking intensifying. It cried out, trying to rip off the device around its heart but to no avail.
Corbin wondered if she should help the creature, since he did put him in this scenario. He walked closer to the cell, after a few steps he heard a click on the floor. Corbin looked down and to his surprise he had stepped on a pressure pad. The noise reverberated across the room, and resounded at the cage where the big iron door, previously indestructible flew off it’s hinges into the void behind Corbin.
He watched in horror, as the minotaur beast climbed out of the cage. It stood on it’s legs and was a towering 50 feet, larger than Corbin realised.
Corbin prepared himself for combat.
