Villar roared, his eyes gleaming red as he now began to charge. Lynne smirked, raising her arm and sweeping it outwards, sending the titan careening into a nearby ride.
"Lynne," Morgan hissed. "Will you quit screwing around! He's not going to be stopped with such a mundane spell."
"Relax Morgan," Lynne smirked. "I've got this. You really need to stop worrying." Before Morgan could answer a blast of magical energy collided with Lynne, sending the auburn haired sorceress flying backwards. Morgan gasped as Lynne crashed into a concession stand with a sickening thud. Looking backwards the werewolf could see Villar seething. Quickly erecting a shield, she now rushed towards Lynne, a look of concern on her face.
"Okay that hurt," Lynne groaned as she now slowly sat up. "Told you you should take it seriously," Morgan grinned. "You okay?"
"Bumps and bruises," Lynne winced as she grabbed her side. "Maybe a broken rib."
"You know what we need to do," Morgan said sternly. Lynne's eyes flew open as she nervously looked between Morgan and Katie. "No," she said quickly. "Morgan no, you know what happened, what's going to happen."
"She won't," Morgan said firmly. "Not this time." Lynne sighed as she now looked around. Morgans shield was holding Villar at bay, but for how long? Glancing back she could see Katie and the others watching with interest. "Merlin," she called. "Give Katie Excalibur."
"How do you know about that," Merlin asked in shock.
"Because you used it to fight Villar in the original timeline" Lynne said sadly. "The lady of the lake didnt take the sword, you did. You've been protecting it ever since. When you died, Katie came to possess it. She used it to kill Villar."
"At the cost of her own life," Morgan added sadly. "But were out of options, give her the sword."
Merlin looked now between Katie, Lynne and Morgan. It was true he possessed the sword, yet he thought he would never have to use it. Its power was perhaps more than any mortal could possess. If what the two time travelers were saying was true then it could very well kill Katie as well. "Is there another way?"
"No," Lynne said sadly, helping her niece by magically reinforcing the shield. "But this time well be around to help contain the swords power so that it doesnt kill her. Now do it before it's too late!"
Merlin sighed, waving his hand as the legendary Excalibur appeared before him. Katie could only gawk at the sword, it looked like a rather expensive long sword, yet she could feel the power emanating from it. "Katie," Merlin said stoically. "The power of Excalibur makes it one of the most powerful weapons in all reality. I have kept it safe for over a millennia. I now bequeath it to you."
Katie tentatively reached for the hilt. As she grasped the hilt, she let out a gasp as she felt the swords power wash over her.
Lynne and Morgan watched as Katie began to transform. Katie's eyes turned white, her muscles rippling as wings sprouted from her back. In seconds Lynne and Morgan beheld the angel form Katie had discovered. Still though more changes took place.
Katie screamed as a brilliant white light seemed to emanate from her. Now a shimmering chest plate began to form, pieces of armored now covering Katie's body, shin guards, gauntlets, and boots made of holy armor now embraced Katie's body. Katie's muscle became more defined, growing to Amazonian proportions. Finally the two wings on Katie's back multiplied, the wings splitting and growing into 6 feathered covered wings. As the wings now slowly beat, causing Katie to hover she studied herself.
"What happened," he asked, her voice light and angelic.
"You've become a seraph," Lynne smiled. "An archangel that wields the power of light."
Katie looked down at her sword hand, tightening her grip as she gazed angrily at Villar. "I understand what I must do," she said. In a sudden motion she now used her wings to propel her at lightning speed.
Villar was so enraged now that he didnt even sense Katie until it was too late. One moment he was fruitlessly beating on the werewolves barrier the next moment he felt an impact, clutching his side he was shocked to see a deep gash along his side.
Villar now looked up, his eyes full of astonishment as the seraph glared down at him. "What are you?"
"Your demise," Katie growled. Lifting the sword above her head Katie now looked to decapitate the titan. Villar now countered, his acuthe appearing in his hand as he barely deflected the impressive blow. Before he could recover Katie opened her other hand, a brilliant beam of light knocking the titan backwards as he screamed in agony. Villar was burned and in pain now, these new wounds were not healing.
The others now stood back, the seraph engaging in a magical battle with the timeline conquering titan. Both now interchanged physical and magical blows. While this was nothing new the group could see something was much different. Villar was not healing.
"They need to end this quickly," Merlin said quietly.
"Why," Angelica asked.
"Katie can only maintain this for so long before it kills her," he said. "She doesn't have the training yet to wield the sword. It is powered by her life force. If they dont finish him off, the sword will drain her of her life force." The others now watched nervously as Lynne, Morgan, and Katie battled Villar. If they could defeat him then maybe the war would finally come to an end.
