(renaming the character Jim to go to 3rd person)
As Jim walks further into the forest he comes across a break in the trees. Stepping into the clearing it becomes apparent that the clearing is due to a recent opened sinkhole. The hole is quite wide and had sucked down all the trees in the clearing. Stepping closer, Jim notices a darker area at the bottom of the hole. His curiosity gets the best of him and he makes the slow climb into the hole to investigate. Drawing closer he can now make out that the darkness is actually the opening to a tunnel. Stepping closer, the tunnel is made made, cutting through the bedrock.
Jim steps into the opening created by the collapse of the sinkhole. The hallway is larger than he expected and slopes downward fairly sharply. Using the mini flashlight he has on his keychain, he ventures down the hall. After several hundred feet it ends at a rotting wooden door. On the decaying wood he can see bits and pieces of unfamiliar symbols. Jim wonders if this place might date back to well before Europeans came to the Americas. Visions of gold and treasure fill Jim's mind as he slams the door with his shoulder. The rotten wood resists at first but eventually gives way despite its thickness. Jim enters the room and is astonished by its contents.
