... he snapped a photo of the fish tank.
FLASH
Paul had shielded his eyes, but then looked back to his relief as Olivia was no longer a fish. Actually, she was fairly close to being normal again, as she was an adult woman once more. The only problem seemed to be age as she now appeared much older than her true age, as she sported some graying hairs and some wrinkles. She looked at herself quickly in the hand mirror and sighed.
"This'll do for now." She muttered. Then, she stared up to look in Paul's eyes, and she looked like she wanted to kill him."Paul Michael Smith." She coldly said.
"N-now Liv." He stuttered, using her cute nickname that he usually only used in bed. "It was an accid-" He started before hose yelled.
"Don't you "Liv" me!" She screeched. Rick backed away, not wanting to be involved, and Emily just looked on from her cot in fear. She hadn't seen her mother this angry since her dad messed up the time for their vacation to Florida and missed it entirely. What's worse, Emily couldn't help calm her down this time.
"I was a fish Paul, a fish!" She yelled. "Do you have any idea how disturbing that feels?! TO be nothing more than a couple inch guppie in a tiny glass bowl?!" She asked.
"Olivia I'm sorry! I panicked! I didn't mean to change you all!" He explained.
"But you did! All you had to do, was NOTHING! For a whole few seconds longer, you'd have to have sat there, but you were impatient again and screwed us over. What would've happened if you stayed a cat and Rick became a child or something?! We could have been trapped forever!" She reasoned.
"I-I'm sorry." Paul muttered. He felt helpless and tiny in the body of a woman, and on top of that Olivia's age and height over him made him feel even scrawnier.
Olivia sighed, then turned around. "Well, I know of one punishment that'll be fitting and ensure you don't screw this up for the time being." She said, as she turned around with the camera in hand.
"What are you doing?" Paul asked fearfully.
"Don't worry, you'll see... later." She explained before she hit a particular switch.
Paul waited for the flash, but nothing happened. Why hadn't his mother taken the picture? Wait... mother? Was Olivia her mother? Of course she was! Paula blinked a few times, confused as to how she could've screwed that up. She laughed it off and gave her mother a smile.
"Mom, you know you have to hit the big button, right?" She teased, sassily standing as she flipped her long blonde hair back.
"Oh, clumsy me." Olivia said, putting on a fake older woman impression. "Well, we can try later." She offered, placing the camera behind her.
"Still Mom, I wish you gave me and Rick a heads up before you visited. I still have some chores to do, then I'll have to breastfeed Eric, then make dinner-" Paula continued before Olivia interrupted.
"No dear don't start. We can all work together. How about you go do the laundry, I'll make dinner and Rick here can prepare some formula for Eric." She suggested, and then gave Rick a pinch from behind.
"Oh, uh, yeah! Yes we can do that... honey." Rick smiled.
"Well, ok, thank you both soooo much." Paula swooned. She gave her mother a hug, and then kissed Rick on the lips, much to his embarrassment. Emily's pinky fell out fo her mouth at what she just saw as Paula happily walked away to the laundry room, unaware anything was changed at all.
"Bleh." Rick spit, wiping his mouth. "That was kinda cold wasn't it?" Rick asked Olivia.
"Tsk, not as cold as a fish tank." She snapped back, before walking over to Emily to carry her. "Now, let's move into the other room so "Paula" can't hear what we're up to. If we're quick, then hopefully we can all be back to normal before "she's" done with laundry." She explained.
"Alright." Rick reluctantly agreed. Though inside, he was a little spooked at her coldness. Rick had just figured Paul should've not used the camera, he wasn't planning on turning his awareness off! He was also worried dat how easily Olivia lied and let her husband essentially vanish for a simple mistake. He followed her with the camera regardless, eager to put all of this behind them.
