While Ty continued his normal life without Dustin around, Dustin was sent over the Atlantic and ended up in France. From there he was send to a school near Paris, and ended up being unpacked by the janitor, Mr. Moreau. “Huh, who would send a figure like that here?” he said after removing the lid from the box. He pulled Dustin out to look him over, only for a flash of light to blind him. Suddenly he didn´t remember the box or the figure anymore, but was holding a boy around 15 by his shoulder. To him said boy was helping him with his work right now.
Dustin himself was relieved to first see and hear again when the janitor lifted the lid away. When he returned to normal size in the flash of light, a few things happened to his mind at once. His knowledge of the English language shifted to French, while his limited skills of French from before turned to English. His memories added a summer job at the school, so he was able to live in the reality now created around him. Now Ty vanished completely out of his memories, and with that his old life was completely erased from him.
“Don´t trip over the boxes, Dustin.” The old janitor said as he stabilized him. “Sorry Mr. Moreau, and thanks for catching me.” Dustin answered. They mostly worked in silence for some time, as Dustin helped cleaning and tidying more rooms.
But all to soon Dustin moved back to the flat he now lived in, another peak of Ty´s changes. Before Ty´s changes the flat had been empty, but now it was Dustin´s to live on, rented for half a year and fully furnished. After a short meal Dustin watched tv for the evening, planning his next day. He would soon need new school supplies for after the summer. The clothes he bought today were only one part of his new life, after all.
