Jill opened the suitcase and ruffled through the clothes. 'Here it is' she exclaimed. 'Ouch! What was that?'
'Are you alright dear?' asked Bill.
'Yes, must have been just a bit of static electricity. Here Bill can you put it in the hotel safe. Use my birthday as the code'
Bill took the medallion careful not to touch Jill at the same time. He had seen what the medallion could do. Ian was living proof. He went to the wardrobe where the safe was.
As he was reading the the directions Jill began unpacking her own suitcase. She laid out on the bed a black dress for herself to put on for dinner. The extended family were meeting at the hotel restaurant at 7 as a bit of a pre-wedding get together. She also took out the dress she would be wearing tomorrow afternoon. It had taken her many hours of shopping to find the ideal dress for her sister-in-laws wedding. She was very happy with the light grey chiffon lace dress with a beaded bodice she had decided upon. It had cost a little more than she had budgeted for but she thought it went very well with her dark hair and showed off how she had regained her figure since Melannie's birth. She took it over to the wardrobe to hang up.
Bill was squatting on the floor near the hotel safe with the medallion in one hand and with the other hand was inputting Jill's birth date into the electronic safe. The hem of Jill's dress passed over Bill and touched the hand holding the medallion. Bill dropped the medallion as he felt an electric shock.
