"I don't know what to do with it," David conceded, sighing to themselves as they watched Alex get up off the couch. Alex might have been a man, but that hip-sway he did sometimes made it hard to see him as one. David blinked as his friend approached, saying they had some ideas. "Uh... like what?"
"I say we make one of us a supernatural creature... really test the limits," Alex grinned. "If magic really exists, then maybe these other creatures do too... or could... and if they could, then wouldn't it be great to be something other than being a crappy regular human?"
"You mean like a centaur? Or an angel?" David wondered. "We both like werewolves, so there's that..."
Alex rubbed his chin. "Well, werewolves would be excellent, but what if we were evil?" he wondered. "It would really depend on the what kinds are real, right? Sometimes they're evil, totally. Sometimes they're just not in control of themselves during the full moon... which is sometimes one night at the peak or, like, five nights. Hell, sometimes they're super-spiritual and in touch with mother earth and stuff and—
"Well, centaurs are generally known to be more natural and such... biggest concern there would be being so in touch with nature that nudity is more comfortable," David offered.
Alex smirked. "Dude... I work with horses every day. There's more problems there than nudity, trust me," he shook his head. "There's a lot of eating, and water, and basically how would we afford to even take care of you and your several more hundred pounds of body?" he wondered. "Heck... this apartment would literally not even be big enough for the two of us," he chuckled.
"Or it would," David pointed out. "Just because we'd be aware doesn't mean the world wouldn't change. Maybe if you're a werewolf, your room becomes a cage I can lock? Maybe if I'm a centaur, then we have food stocked already for me and then yours or my job fits for the more food I'd need?" He took a breath. "Though, maybe centaurs just being magic doesn't have any biological backing and none of that stuff would matter?"
"How about Naga?" Alex asked. "Or, ooo, a Medusa? Minotaurs or Satyrs?"
"Or character's from a video game..." David suggested.
Alex nodded. "Not quite mythological, but... sure. Or, you know, plenty of anthropomorphic cartoon characters."
"Would that make us realistic versions of the characters, or would that make the whole world a cartoon?"
"You know... that's an excellent question," Alex considered. "C'mon, dude. Your call. You or me, something... or, you know, both if you're feeling daring," he smirked.
