"Pleath no! PLEATH! THOP! I'LL DO ANYTHING!"
Suddenly, without a moment's pause, her teeth quickly regressed back into her mouth. Dropping the hammer, Jamie fell to her knees and let out a deep breath.
"Is the lisp gone, am I safe?" Her clear dialect was more than enough proof. Looking up at the mirror, she noticed a faint blueish light radiating from it. Adjusting her glasses, she stood back up and investigated further. Going by science fiction, a blue light usually signifies calmness and benevolence, so perhaps the mirror showed her a degree of mercy? Of course, she was falling on the memories of Smart Jamie to come up with such a deduction. Current Jamie thought the idea absurd but it was the best thing she could comprehend at the moment. She sighed.
"So you don't want to be smashed huh?"
What to do now she wondered? Looking around, she realized that when she stormed in here, hammer ready, she only really took notice of what was on the walls. Anime, Comic Books, Fan art, even movie posters! Yep, she had em all, but it still churned her stomach. Covering her face, Jamie could only only shake her head in embarrassment.
"So glad Annette isn't here. I'd never hear the end of this!" She said to herself.
Her shelves and bookcases on the other hand...
Countless volumes of comics and manga adorned the bottom shelves while the upper shelves held books on nuclear physics, human anatomy, computer sciences and chemistry. Curious, she took one out and started to glance before realizing she had already read it...
But she wouldn't mind doing so again!
"No no NO!" She thought to herself. "Smart Jamie would do that! I still have control!" Putting the book on bed, she was then drawn to her school letterman jacket hanging alongside all her school awards, which Jamie counted 15 of! 15! The most she ever got on track was just 2 and they were all 3rd place. These babies though? Mostly 1st and 2nd placers! Going over them, she became privy to numerous science fairs, chess tournaments and chemistry competitions. Going by her nerdy memories, she was a natural competetior, easily curbstomping the competition with her only worthy opponent being her boyfriend, Dexter. Her accomplishments were also chronicled on her jacket which had so many patches sewn into it, that there was hardly anymore room left for another. Slipping it on, she couldn't help but beam with pride.
Clearly her nerd self had quite the future ahead of her,
Returning to her bed, Jamie sat down all while wearing her school jacket. Losing herself in contemplation she soon began giving her situation some serious thought.
Was this really so bad?
Sure, she no longer looked like herself but it's nothing a little exercise and dieting can't fix. She could look into contacts for her eyesight or maybe get a more aesthetically pleasing pair of glasses. A couple visits to the dermatologist could yield a solution to her acne problem and braces are by no means permanent! Not only that, but she was all set to go to Harvard, an opportunity of a lifetime! She could literally pursue any career of her choosing with this new brain of her's!
Dexter though? Ugh, not her type, though maybe he might grow on her.
