Jacob turns around, ready to set off for the pool. Before he can take a step, however, he feels a strange urge to squat. He does so. The woman who changed him chuckles softly, shaking her head.
“So much for a clean diaper,” she says. “I should have figured. Kids go through diapers so fast at that age.” Jacob is confused for a second, only to realize that he hasn’t just been squatting. He’s been pushing, too. Panicking, he tries to stop pushing, but it’s too late. With a loud fart, Jacob’s bowels evacuate into the swim diaper.
“Stinky boy,” the woman says playfully. Jacob straightens, his diaper sagging under him. “Well, time for another change!” The woman picks Jacob up again and lays him on the changing mat. “Unfortunately, sweetie, I don’t have any more swim diapers. You’ll need a regular diapy, which means you can’t go in the pool again.” Jacob’s heart plummets. He needs to get in the pool to turn back!
The woman changes Jacob once more, but this time, tapes a regular diaper on. Jacob mumbles his thanks again, mentally going over his options.
