Leah decides on Bunnywood to really test the notion she can pass for way younger than she is. After filling out the card for a toddler camper, Leah spends the next week collecting what she needs to pack per the guidelines.
It isn't too difficult, Tina is happy to let Leah help out with some of her daycare work which gives her ample opportunity to "borrow" things.
After slipping a few clothing items from each load of laundry, she amasses a suitable wardrobe. Later helping Tina sort through some donations, Leah collects a few stuffed animals, dolls, sippy cups and pacifiers. The hardest thing was certain supplies like soap, diaper cream, wipes, and the required diaper supply. Eventually, by skimming open packages she collects it.
All throughout Tina remains thankfully oblivious. Leah being so willing to spend time with her makes the teens insistance that she packs her bag all by herself much easier to swallow. Getting up early to intercept and alter the camp's confirmation letter also helped secure her goal.
The final hurdle was tricking both Tina and the camp officials at the bus pick up location. Thankfully all the camps shared the site so nothing wasn't obviously amiss when they arrived.
Leah graciously accepts Tina's help moving the bag to the luggage drop off location and waits until the woman turns away to replace the destination label with the Bunnywood one. Then she strongly insists teenagers are supposed to check themselves in and thanks Tina for her help. Her stepmother sees no reason to doubt the claim and departs without issue.
Leah then hides behind some bushes while she strips herself of the normal outfit, consisting of jeans and a very small shirt featuring her favorite band's logo, she had been wearing and dons a new outfit from her carry on bag. Once she's dressed in a diaper and pajamas, Leah takes a pair of scissors, a brush, and some hair ties and turns her well styled hair into a slightly lopsided toddler cut. A baby wipe over the face removes her makeup and reveals the freckles she normally hides.
A quick look in a hand mirror startles Leah slightly, she figured the makeover would make her look a little more convincing, but even her mind struggles to find maturity in the image. Deciding she's gone too far to back out now, Leah ditches anything that might indicate her real age and sneaks over to the group of toddlers waiting to get on their bus.
As expected, after a few minutes a camp worker notices she's missing her name tag and approaches, "Hi there! What's your name?"
"Me Leah!"
The employee looks over a list on her phone for a minute before putting on an obviously annoyed smile, "Uh oh, looks like someone's mommy forgot to sign her in. Let's go get you all set up."
Leah does her best to too look oblivious to the soft scolding behind the exaggerated voice and simply nods. She's then led over to the main check in table where the employee pins a nametags to her and types something on her phone. Shortly after Leah is buckled into a seat and on her way to camp.
