About thirty minutes into the hour-long drive, Leah gets second thoughts. Sure, it’s a fun experiment to see how young she can pass as, but now that she’s realizing the full scope of this experiment, it feels like she’s gone too far. For crying out loud, she’s wearing a diaper!
Leah begins to squirm in her seat as she tries to think of a way out of this mess. Unfortunately, this attracts the attention of one of the employees, who comes over to check on her.
“Everything all right, Leah?” the employee asks with a smile. Leah blurts out the first lie she can think of.
“Gotta pee.”
“You can tell when you need to pee? What a big girl! I’m sorry, though, we won’t stop until we get to camp. But you can use your diapy. I won’t tell your mommy.” With that, the employee walks away. Leah decides to not draw any more attention to herself and stops squirming. She spends the rest of the drive staring out the window silently, her mind racing.
“All right, little bunnies!” calls the employee once the bus has come to a stop. “Time to hop off!” The toddlers file off the bus, each and every diaper checked on their way out. When Leah’s is checked, the employee can’t hide surprise at her being dry. “I thought you had to pee.” Leah merely shrugs in response. “Well, at least you don’t need a change yet.”
Roughly half of the toddlers have disembarked by the time Leah gets off the bus, so Leah has a bit of time before they are all ushered somewhere else. She looks around, weighing the options she came up with during the drive.
