Soon after talking to Johnny and Suzie, Luke and Alex would quickly grab their school bag and head out early so they could walk to school. As they walked along, the pair discussed what they thought school would be like now.
“So,” Luke started, “you think if one of us does something bad, we both get detention, or is there some scheme to keep that from happening?” Alex scratched her head, thinking.
“That’s a good question. We never looked up anything like that yester... why are you asking?” Like looked a little defensive before speaking up.
“Hey, don’t worry sis’. I’m not that kind of student. Just curious.” Alex chuckled a little, getting a funny look from her body mate as she did. “What I say?”
“You called me ‘sis’.’ Sounds like someone’s getting use to this.” Luke ribbed the back of his head, sighing a little.
“I mean.... You aren’t the worst. And having two new brothers and a sister is interesting. Plus would be weird here if I didn’t call you that.” Alex tilted her head, looking at him before nodding.
“Yeah.... I guess your right about that. How much further?”
“Assuming I’m looking at this right, we’re half way there. So next question. How do you think history’s changed?”
“Oh that’s an easy one. Twice as many names for everything, and probably no real divide between men and women.”
“Yeah. Around each other 24/7 would probably do that.”
