“All right, now we’ll take you to the bathroom,” Denise said, once the commercial break came. She and Jen got to their feet. Kelly got up as well. Her bladder was screaming by now, so she had to waddle if she wanted to avoid an accident.
“Come on, pick up the pace a bit,” Jen scoffed. She grabbed Kelly’s hand and dragged her. Kelly let out a soft squeak as her bladder emptied into the diaper.
“Jen!”
“What?”
“I was going slow to avoid wetting myself, and you yanking me around ruined that!”
“You- oh.” Jen grimaced. “Let me guess. You need a diaper change.”
“Well, now I do!” Kelly fumed.
“I’ll go get Mom,” Denise said. She left. Kelly glared at Jen as her wet diaper became increasingly clammier. Denise returned with Kendra in tow. “Megan had an accident.”
“See, I knew she wasn’t potty trained,” Kendra said. “This is actually perfect timing, because dinner’s ready. You girls go start eating while I change Kelly.” Kendra brought Kelly to the bathroom, where she quickly and efficiently removed the wet diaper, wiped Kelly down, and taped a fresh diaper on. Then, she carried Kelly to the kitchen and buckled her into a highchair.
“Who’s the baby?” asked Denise’s younger brother, Lucas.
“She’s a toddler,” Kendra corrected. “And she’s Jen’s little cousin, Megan. Isn’t she adorable?”
“Eh,” Lucas said with a shrug. He turned his attention back to his dinner.
