“…head home!” Tina checks out and the two leave the store. At the car, to Leah’s humiliation, she’s buckled into the spare car seat Tina keeps for emergencies.
“Tina!” Leah protests.
“You look like someone who should be in a car seat. Do you want me to get pulled over?” Tina asks. Leah sighs.
“Fine.”
When they get home, Leah helps Tina bring the items in the house. It feels weird to be carrying in diaper supplies while she’s wearing a diaper herself, but she reminds herself that she’ll be out of the diaper soon.
“Oh, Tina, could you help me remove this diaper?” Leah asks, once they’ve unloaded everything. Tina shakes her head.
“No.”
“What?”
“I realized this as we were driving home. You’re going to have to wear that for the rest of the day. After you shower, you’ll get another one to wear while you sleep.”
“What?!” Leah shrieks.
“You had an accident,” Tina says patiently. “I don’t want to have to clean up a mess. But I don’t want you to use the diaper. If you need to go, take the diaper off, use the toilet, and then put the diaper back on when you’re done.”
“Um, I don’t know how to put on a diaper.”
“Well, then I guess you can ask me to help you put it on,” Tina says. She goes into the kitchen. “I’ll make us some lunch, okay? You just go do your regular things.” She chuckles. “Only, you’ll be doing them while wearing a diaper.”
