…the bus for high school. It seemed like she was still going to her old school, despite now being a diaper-dependent three-year-old. Jennifer walked up to the bus. The doors opened.
“Good morning, Jenny,” said the bus driver. Jennifer got on.
“Good mowning.”
“Aw, your little lisp is as cute as ever,” the bus driver said. “You know where your seat is.” Jennifer nodded, spotting it right away. Up front was a baby car seat, bright pink, clearly meant for her. Her friend, Trisha, was sitting next to the car seat, and buckled her in when Jennifer walked over.
“Hi, Jenny,” Trisha cooed. Jennifer smiled weakly.
“Hi, Twitha,” she lisped.
Other than being in a car seat, the drive to school was the same. Jennifer kicked her legs idly, getting bored very quickly. Finally, the bus pulled up in front of the high school. Trisha unbuckled Jennifer from her car seat.
“Ooh, someone peed!” she said loudly. Jennifer stared down at her diaper, not hidden whatsoever by her incredibly short skirt. Sure enough, it was yellowed. “Don’t worry, someone will change you. Right now, let’s take you to class.” Trisha carried Jennifer off the bus, then set her on the ground. “Where’s your binky?”
“Um…” Jennifer didn’t know what to say. Trisha opened Jennifer’s backpack and rummaged around in it.
“Okay, good, it’s packed.” She pinched Jennifer’s cheek. “Just wanted to make sure. It’s the only thing that keeps you from fussing during a diapy change!” Trisha took Jennifer’s hand and led her into the school. She clearly knew exactly where she was taking Jennifer.
