A clown?!
Jamie was staring at a goofy, clowned up version of herself! Her skin was pure white and she had this big red smile painted over her mouth, outlined in black. Above the upper edges of her smile were blue circles. They were situated not far from her eyes, which had overly long lashes, and thin black lines going down from their bottoms, reaching the halfway point of her nose, which was a big red ball. Above her now whitened eyebrows were two arching black lines that grew thicker as they went inward. Her hair was a curly blue that reached down to her neck and at the top of her head was an exaggerated tiara with the name "Jaymee" spelled out in encrusted jewels.
Her costume was professional in every sense of the word. Certainly not something you'd buy at Party City or Wal-Mart! Her neck was concealed by an elaborate ruffled collar, white with blue trimmings. She was wearing a light blue spandex bodysuit as her visible arms and legs all appeared the same color. White ruffled wrist and ankle cuffs, complete with the same blue trimmings as the neck, were seen, giving way to white gloves and white floppy mary janes. The "core of her costume" (if you would call it that) was a...how could she describe it? A diamond-patterned leotard, its primary color white with blue, light blue, and turquoise serving as secondaries. Around the waist, the leotard shifted into a skirt that went down to her knees, complete with trimmings, frills, and bells. The leotard/skirt seemed to have a pronounced glitter to it as it shimmered as she moved around.
Perhaps the creepiest thing about all this was her smile. As she looked into the mirror, Jamie never once smiled but her reflection's shined on brightly, seemingly so she can showcase her pearly whites (which Jamie did not have) for the world to see.
Though shocked by her appearance, her apartment was even more horrifying. All the furniture was set up and by god did it look hideous! Think of a cross between the Simpsons and Pea-Wee's Playhouse. Her nightstand and dressers were like four different colors and her bedframe was an idiotic looking clown car. Posters of several circuses plastered her walls, while numerous figurines of clowns, mimes, circus performers, and elephants occupied her shelves. Her carpet was a goofy red with white swirls, while her walls were bright yellow. On the back walls were framed objects that looked like diplomas or awards, though Jamie could not read them.
All in all, she didn't know what to think and just as the image came, it then disappeared. She was now in her bedroom, staring at a reflection of herself.
The hell?
What the heck was that? Did she momentarily lose her marbles? Walking into the living room, Jamie started to pace. She wasn't one to experiment with drugs and she stuck to a strict healthy diet. She was the epitome of good physical and mental health, so what did she just see? Unlike her friend Annette, Jamie didn't hate clowns. On the contrary, when she was a little girl, she always enjoyed the antics of her Uncle Jim, who dressed up as one for her birthday parties. She, however, never aspired to be one. All that makeup and costume work was simply too unappealing!
But she had just seen herself, dressed up and by all accounts, looking like a professional clown!
