The AI moved you into another chamber dominated by a machine that hung from the ceiling with a cable that ended with a sinister needle at the end.
You hated needles.
"This device will allow us a direct exchange between you and me. Connecting to the ship's VR system. I have prepared a virtual room specially designed for your comfort."
You had the unpleasant feeling of knowing how it was connected to your body. The needle gleamed like the edge of a knife.
"Oh no! No way am I going to insert myself into The Matrix.
Ulysses had learned to ignore your wacky mood and weird swings.
