Jace was glade to finally be in his dorm room. It had been a hectic few...well years really.
First he moved to America from his home in Australia, and subsequently moved to this tiny town called Sun Spot River, not to far from this other town called Moon Lake. That’s where he was now.
He managed to get into a course here, and so he moved there just to get that feeling of independence. He loved his mum, I mean she raised him on her own after his Dad left them... He shook his head. No time to be sad.
His dorm room was modest, with a window viewing the campus garden, and had a desk filled with his unpacked trinkets. He had his own private bathroom too. This one room with a surprisingly large bed too. I mean, two people could squeeze in there.
He sighed, looking round his unpacked dorm. He could hear the commotion of the oddly wild students outside. It was funny, there was a little joke that the freshmen come in all clean cut and polished, and by the end of their first semester there as wild as the local kids.

Jace made it through the first few classes fine. He made causal conversation with a couple students who were also from out of town. At lunch, they spoke together about the locals. They were so weird, the way they acted. Snarling and barking, and the smell! Most of them smelt like, well, an animal! Tim was one of these newbies who he knew well enough now to say high, or chat to over messenger.
Then there was Chase, and those two who he had close around his arms. Chace was tall, strong and incredibly hairy. His arms looked coated in dark hair like fur. Jace caught him staring at him from across the room one evening at the cafeteria. Chase approached, with his girl Beth and his boy Luke at his side. Beth had this mousy demer, that is until she saw something worthwhile. At this moment, she stared at Jace most purring. She nuzzled into Chase’s neck, feeling his jawline which was covered in dark stubble.
“Can I have him?” Beth purred.
“I dunno, I think we’ll sought that out by tonight,” Chase grinned. His eyes, Jace could have sworn, shifted to a wolfish yellow, just for a moment. The other member of this trio was a taller guy with a sturdy yet lean build. He smiled, watching Jace patently like a hunt was about to start,
“Jace right?”
“Y-yea,” Jace managed to say.
“Huge. Got high hopes for you.”
The trio watched Jace expectantly for a moment, before leaving.
Jace finished his meal in silence, trying to ignore the fact they practically ignored Tim who was eating with him.

That was a weird evening, Jace told himself as he stripped down. It was late, and unfortunately his own private bathroom had no running water. Apparently ‘something’ had busted his pipes, so he needed to use the communal bathroom. He folded his clothing neatly into his wash basket and turned on the shower. He gaged at the overall ‘stickiness’ of the walls in the place, and decided it wasn’t worth thinking about. He stopped for a moment to look his reflection. He was shorter than most, and thin too. He was devoid of body hair, and barely required to shave the little hair be could grow. He wasn’t much, but it was him.
Then heard something...He turned off the shower and stepped back. Three sets of footsteps were rushing to the bathroom. Quickly, by some deep instinct, he jumped back into the shower and closed the door. There he sat in silence, peaking under the gap wide the door.
