"No, no trouble at all" said Janice. "The bathroom was empty, in fact."
Maggie caught a faint guilty look on Taylor's face and resolved to get a full explanation later, in private.
The four chatted some more. (Taylor used her power to ensure that the meal be paid for by her bottomless credit card, not the cash-strapped Michael.)
Maggie decided to give Michael and Janice some privacy by spending the night at Taylor's. Once the two were alone, Maggie looked Taylor in the eye and asked "What have you been up to?"
Taylor told her. "Being with the same woman is going to enable those guys to finally break down the barriers and express their love for each other physically. But they're bi, not gay, and they'll stay together with her."
Maggie rolled her eyes. "I oughta get you a pair of wings and a bow and arrow. You are truly Cupid."
Taylor laughed. "Well, if that's what you want." Her clothes melted as her body contracted. She was a chubby, naked toddler. With wings. And a bow and arrow. Pretty much a classical Cupid except female--there were limits to Taylor's pursuit of verisimilitude. She gave her wings a cautious flutter and took off into the sky. She laughed. "This is fun! You want to try it?"
Remember, Maggie thought, she can't affect you unless you agree. But it did look like fun. . .
"OK, but just temporary, and if I don't like it you change me back."
Before she finished what she was saying, Maggie found herself a chubby winged toddler with a bow and arrows. "These are love arrows" said Taylor. "Shoot someone with them and they'll find true love. Now, do you want to be a boy Cupid?"
