Tired, Jarad smelled around the darkening shack and found an old animal pelt. He dragged it over the the corner and used his nose to make a nice doggie bed out of it. He started to lay down when his eyes fell onto the medallion. It had caused a lot of trouble already, but he couldn't afford to lose it. He grabbed it in his mouth and dropped it onto the pelt, then laid his head on it.
As he closed his eyes to sleep, he felt a sickeningly familar sensation. Startled, Jarad yelped and leaped to his paws, but it was too late. He could already see the fur on his legs changing, and it wasn't getting more human.
