Brooklyn suddenly stopped & jumped up with a start as she looked to where your clothes were laying. She ran back to the water, jumped in & disappeared. She seemed panicked & you felt bad. "Brooklyn! Those are my clothes! I've seen you in your fish person form! Please come out!" You yelled to her looking around in the water for her. At first you got no response to your yell then suddenly Brooklyn surfaced inches from your face. She looked you in the face furious & you heard her voice in your head [How dare you follow me & then spy on me!] You yelled out surprised without thinking "You're a telepath?!" She replied to this with [This form lacks vocal cords but is telepathic.] "I guess it's a good trade off. Being able to breathe & swim underwater." You commented; again without really thinking. [Now explain yourself!] She yelled furious telepathic. "I didn't follow you. I had no idea you would be here. And I wasn't really spying on you. At first I didn't know the fish woman I saw was you." You explained. Brooklyn seemed to develop a look of shame on her face. [I'm sorry for accusing you of all that.] "It's ok Brooklyn." You told her putting a hand on her face lovingly. [My name isn't Brooklyn.] She told you. "Really? So what is your name then?" You asked her curious. [I don't have a name. I wasn't born human. This is my true form. I take human form to be on land with you. On full moons I lose that ability & am forced back to this form.] She explained. "So that's why you disappear every full moon." You said it all suddenly making sense. She nodded saying [I'm a creature of the sea.] "Does your species wear clothes?" You asked as that thought occurred to you. [Of course not silly. I'm an animal. Before I met & took a human form the first time I didn't know what clothes even were.] She replied with a bit of a laugh. "So my girlfriend is an animal? Imagine that?" You laughed. [Yep. And I don't know if my species of sea animal has a name.] She replied smiling. "So where do we go from here?" You asked wondering.
