While the others now tried to mount a rescue, Kellie and Jack now found themselves preparing to perform a very complex ritual that could hopefully return things to normal.
"So mom, dad," Katie asked. "What exactly are you going to do?"
Kellie now looked towards her daughter and her friends. The two teens had brought plenty of backup to help things succeed. Along with their daughter, they had also brought Mika and Samantha, as well as the future Morgan, Lynne, and Anjelica. "Well," Kellie sighed. "Your dad and I are going to combine light and dark to seal the breeches in your timeline Katie."
"If it works," Jack stated. "The magical realms will only exist in our timeline."
"Is that going to keep you from coming here," Morgan asked.
"No," Kellie smiled. "Those of us with magic will be able to travel between the timelines. It will though erase the memories of what's been happening from pretty much everyone."
"Pretty much," Lynne asked, raising an eyebrow.
"She means we will remember along with our families," Jack smirked.
"So what do you need us to do," Angelica asked.
"Well," Kellie said. "Jack and I will be pretty vulnerable while were performing the spell. We won't be able to defend ourselves." Katie and the others nodded, glancing around the young woman wondered where anyone could possibly come from. The group now found themselves on the mountain overlooking the hotel Katie and Kellie were married in. As far as they could tell there was nowhere anyone could hide.
As the two teens now began the ritual, Anjelica now looked to her master. "Do you think this will work Morgan?"
Morgan smiled, placing a hand on her young apprentice. "My grandparents are two of the most powerful magical beings in existence," she said. "They might be young but I know they can do this."
"I hate to admit it but Morgans right," Lynne said. "Although I probably wouldnt have sucked up as much as she just did." Anjelica giggled as Morgan now stepped in front of Lynne, a look of both bemusement and annoyance on her face. As she was about to speak the group was startled by a loud bang.
Startled the group quickly scanned the area, it was only as Anjelica turned to her master that they realized what had happened. "Morgan!"
Morgan had a look of shock on her face, gazing down at her chest the blond haired woman noticed a large blood stain begin to spread across her shirt. Katie now noticed her future daughter try to speak before collapsing to the ground. "What happened?"
Lynne and Anjelica now knelt before the sorceress, pulling her shirt back to see a bullet hole in her chest. Anjelica now tried to stem the bleeding as her master looked up at her. "I cant stop the bleeding," the teen cried. "Why isnt she healing?"
"It appears your magic bullet was a success Agent Dyson."
Katie, Lynne, and Samantha all froze, turning their gaze towards the voice before gasping in shock. Fukushu, Abolith, and Agent Dyson now stood nearby. The portal the group had opened was now closing as a group of Voids and agents now surrounded the group.
"I thought I asked you to take out the redhead though," Fukushu sighed.
"The other one moved into the line of sight at the last moment," Dyson stated. "Our doctors will patch up."
"If they survive," Abolith grinned.
"That was not part of the deal," Dyson countered. "These terrorists are wanted for questioning. The security of the nation is at stake."
Abolith and Fukushu simply rolled their eyes, the two magical beings seeming to share a silent conversation about the fate of their human companion. Dyson didnt seem to realize that the partnership between them was one of convenience. When they were finished with him, Dyson would be disposed of. It seemed though Fukushu's patience was wearing thin.
"Agent Dyson," Fukushu smirked. "We are already making arrangements to take their children into custody. You will have plenty of terrorists to interrogate shortly."
"The children," Katie gasped.
"Oh I'm sorry," Fukushu grinned. "Did I let that slip."
Katie and the others now anxiously looked between one another. Fukushu had a contingency plan to take Morgan, Lynne, and Tricia. Revealing this plan was meant to thin their numbers and to take a dig at Dyson. Katie now turned to Samantha, the young woman now shifting into her dragoness form. "Katie," she said quickly. "Mike and I got this." Katie nodded as the dragoness now vanished into thin air.
"Fukushu," Dyaon bellowed. "What's the matter with you?!" The nine tailed kitsune gave his companion an impish grin as the agent now pointed his weapon at Katie. "All of you are under arrest," he exclaimed. "Lay down on the ground and put your hands behind your back!"
Before anyone could react a massive tremor now shook the very mountain. The other stumbled, curiously gazing around before a brilliant blue light illuminated the area. As the light faded, Katie beheld two adults and two young children.
"Tom," Lynne whispered.
The future Tommy Harris now glared at Dyson, Fukushu, and Abolith. "Evan, Brian," he growled, looking down at the two young redheaded boys by his side. "Go to your mother."
"Tom you brought the boys with you," Lynne exclaimed. "What the hell! Evan is 7 and Brian is only 4! Why are you traveling through time with them?! And is that Kari?"
"Lynne quiet," Tom yelled. "Their wasnt anytime. You know I couldnt just let you travel back in time. Now boys go to your mother! Dad has something to take care of."
The two young boys nodded, the older boy grabbing his brothers hand as he ran towards their mom. "Hold it right there," Dyson bellowed, raising his weapon. "I said HOLD IT!"
Time seems to slow down as Dyson discharges his weapon. For a moment Lynne feared the worse as she watched Dyson fire at her children. Before the bullet could strike a massive wall of chains sprang forth, shielding the boys.
"Dyson," Tom growled. "You tortured my parents, experimented on my baby sister, chased me as a child, and now you tried to kill my wife and kids."
"Who are you," Dyson asked.
"Katie, Kari," Tom bellowed. "You take Abolith and Fukushu. Dyson is mine!"
Tom now summoned forth chains as he glared angrily at the agent. "My name is Tom Harris. I'm the man that's going to kill you."
