Makenna seems distracted, so Mia sneaks the gun out of her friend’s purse.
“Makenna, I need to potty,” she announces, hiding the gun behind her back.
“Oh, well, we’re pretty busy here, so why don’t you go on your own?” Makenna suggests. She tells Mia where the bathroom is.
“Okay!” Mia chirps.
“Hurry back,” Makenna says absently.
Mia rushes to the bathroom, then closes and locks the door. She intends on using the gun to return to normal, but quickly realizes she won’t be able to do that. The instructions were vague and confusing before. Now that her reading ability has been greatly reduced, she can’t make head nor tails of it.
“Boo,” she mutters, lower lip jutting out in a pout. Then, she gets a devious idea. Grinning, she adjusts the settings randomly, choosing things based on whether she likes the shapes of the letters making up the words she can’t read.
Completely random settings set, Mia leaves the bathroom and goes back to the room Makenna and Mark are in. Mark’s not there; he must have gone to get something. Perfect. Mia points the gun at Makenna and fires, eager to find out what will happen to Makenna.
