Still a little confused about your new tail, you pad slowly into the living room. Walking on all fours has become surprisingly easy with all the practice you've put into it today. When you started crawling around, your hips were awkwardly high in the air compared to your shoulders, but you found that if you crouched a bit and bent your knees, your back was more level, like a dogs should be. Your muscles must have adjusted quickly, you think, since you haven't felt any ache from maintaining the position all day!
Your tail swishes a bit as you take in the smells of the living room. Man, having the house to yourself for these two weeks is just the best! You can't believe you were a little sad at first when you realized your parents and sister were going on vacation without you - you'd never have gotten to relax and play like this if they were home! Your tongue rolls out of your mouth and you pant happily with contentment before walking over to the couch. Placing one hand and then the other on the seat cushion, you stre-e-etch a bit before hopping your hind legs up and starting to turn in a circle on your favorite corner spot. Once, twice, maybe now? no, another turn... with each revolution you press the foam with your paws, making sure it's just right before you finally settle, tucking your limbs to the side and wrapping your tail around to for a perfect puppy circle.
A nap is just what you need after all that fun you had outside!
Snuggling your nose under your paws, something brushes your face and your sleepy brain registers that it's soft and smells right, smells... like you. Your eyes drift closed and you drift off into a dreamless doggy slumber.
