As I rushed to work I hurried past the local college which had signs out for parents' weekend. Being Friday morning there weren’t many parents around yet. The few that were there looked to be middle aged women. ”Must be nice to not have to work. I could use a day off today.” I thought as I cut through the Greek life housing taking a short cut to work.
Just then I got a call from my boss. “Hey Pete our noon meeting just pulled out. I’m taking the day off and you and Amber can have the day off too. It’s my thanks for you two working so hard on this project.” I hung up the phone surprised that my normally frigid boss had given me the day off.
With a surprise day off and nothing to do I decided to make a lap around campus to enjoy the day, and kill some time until Ali and Sandy were off work.
As I rounded the block towards one of the sorority houses, I could see it bustling with college age girls and their middle-aged mothers. Looking at the girls and their mothers it seemed to be a bit of a mixed bag. This wasn’t a sorority where every girl was a 10 out of 10, they varied in appearance from average to stunning. The mothers seemed to be fall into the same spectrum, except they were 20 some years older.
Not wanting to gawk at them I hurried past only to find a group of about 6 people walking a half block up from me. It looked to be 3 sorority girls and their 3 mothers. They continued another block before turning off and heading into a small coffee shop/restaurant on the edge of campus. “You know I could use some brunch.” I thought as I followed them into the restaurant.
As I waited behind them in line, I studied the group that had been walking in front of me. It was clear to me that they were indeed all mother daughter pairs. The first pair that caught my eye was the redheaded mother and daughter pair. I figured the daughter was about 5’9” and maybe 110 lbs and the mother was maybe 5’6” and about the same weight. Both were thin and fairly average looking in the face, but their natural red hair and pale skin really stood out.
The second mother daughter pair seemed to be blessed with the curves that the first pair had been missing. While neither the mother or the daughter stood more than 5’1”, they were both gifted in the breast department. The daughter was a solid E-cup and had a curvy yet in shape built. Her mother on the other hand looked to be smuggling a pair of melons under her shirt and made her daughter look flat in comparison. The extra breast flesh looked to be the result the extra 100 lbs she was carrying around compared to her daughter.
The third pair seemed to be the odd couple. The daughter was fairly plain. I figured she was 5’5” and maybe 120 lbs. She had a cute wholesome look to her, but seemed like she could easily be over looked. Her mother on the other hand seemed to be looking for attention. She wore tight jeans and a low cut sweater that showed off her impressive chest. For a woman in her 40s she had a better build than her daughter, and looked like she spent a large amount of time on her appearance.
I ordered a sandwich and a coffee and sat down to I could continue to observe the group of women.
