It had been a little hard for Dana not to bolt and report to Clarice what was just confirmed. So much valuable information, it needs to be delivered ASAP, not to mention, Taylors command to speak with Clarice…It took considerable acting skills on Dana’s part to not let anything slip out as the group continued on with their fun.
Dana saw Maggie giving her and Taylor a strange look, but a split second later she would look away, looking unsure. Dana realizes Taylor did the same thing to Maggie as to her Dana and likely gave the rundown on what happened.
Now, the same evening after getting back, Dana stares at the phone and seems to hesitate in making the call…
Then she presses the call button.
Beeeeeeeep…beeeeeeeep…beeeeeep… “Hello, this is Clarice.”
“Clarice, hi, um…Taylor knows and wants to talk with you…tomorrow…”
“Knows exactly what?”
“Well, she knows of her powers and by all looks has an amazing grasp on them, she knows about us and wants to speak to you. Tomorrow, she specified, wanting to spend the day at the mall…with us girls…”
“I see…did anything else happen at the mall?”
Dana reported what she had seen happen – the lady, the suddenly leaving rude people, the time stopping, etc. – and Clarice listened patiently the entire time. She only said at the end, “I see.”
“Should I give her your number?”
“Give her mine and give me hers. No need to have the repeat the Scammer Disaster.” There was a touch of humor in Clarice’s voice.
Dana could only feel annoyed at that mention, “Goddess, I thought we all agreed to never talk about that! You promised!”
“Apologies. But this is a big step forward for us. Thank you for the report, Dana. I will call you after the talk, if something needs to be done.”
“Alright.” Dana ended the call and fell backwards in the bed. Before grabbing the phone and calling Gabriel. She really needs that lay.
