Casseus narrowed his eyes as he gazed down at the small infant. It amazed him that such a small thing could turn into such a nuisance in the future.
"You ruined everything," he grumbled. "Helped destroy my master, altered our future, allowed for Fukushu's ascension to leadership." The infant Yuriko now began to cry softly as she stirred.
"Shall I drain this child," Selene asked.
"Not yet," Casseus stated. "I wish to conduct a few more tests." The sound of an alarm now gained Casseus attention. Casseus now strode to a video monitor, a scowl crossing his face. "It appears someone is attempting to destroy the suits," he whispered. "Selene, I need you to go and check on our project. It appears Ms. Kirkmans friends are looking to finish her work."
"Of course," Selene said. "But what of the child? It appears the succubus is attempting to rescue her."
"Yes along with the wizards," Casseus sighed. "Our forces here should be sufficient. As far as the child goes, have Deimos guard her and warn him he is not to drain this child." Selene nodded, vanishing from sight as Casseus now exited the room, his enchanted spear forming in his hand. "If you want something done right it appears you have to do it yourself."

Kari glared at the dark elf assassin. The kitsune had not anticipated Tom vanishing with Agent Dyson and leaving them shorthanded. "Lynne I could use some help."
Lynne looked up at her friend, nodding as she cast her spell. Abolith, Fukushu, and their troops freezing in place. "Make it fast you know I cant hold this as long as Gloria can."
Kari now quickly ran towards Morgan, noticing her beat friend laying in a pool of her own blood. Gripping the sorceresses hand she tried to give her a comforting smile. "I'm here now Morgan."
"Can you heal her Kari," Anjelica asked. Kari now studied Morgans wound, placing her hand upon it. "I should be able to stop the bleeding," she said. "But I dont have the necessary items to complete heal her. We'll have to move fast and get her back to our time."
"Kari," Mika asked as she now stood behind her future daughter. "Why are you here?"
Kari now stood, hugging her mother as she looked everyone over. "After Lynne, Morgan, and Anjelica left Tom called me," she said. "He knew we needed to go before the timeline changed to assist. Lynne and the others have only been gone perhaps 10 minutes from our perspective. We knew you would need the help."
"Look its appreciated but isnt kinda of dangerous?"
Kari chuckled as she now looked at her mother. "I always find it humorous when you ask if things are dangerous mother. Especially considering your penchant for trouble."
"Touche," Mika grumbled.
As mother and daughter turned they could see Fukushu's forces now break the spell holding them in place. "Katie," Kari called. "My mother and I can deal with Abolith. Can you deal with Fukushu?"
"Shouldnt be a problem," Katie smiled, unsheathing Excalibur as she transformed into a seraph.
"Anjelica I need you to focus on their forces," Kari stated. "Lynne will assist but most importantly do not let the ritual be interrupted."
Anjelica nodded as she now faced Abolith. "Do you truely think you and your mother can defeat me child," Abolith scoffed.
"I do," Kari smiled. "You see you seem to forget I am a kitsune."
"A mortal kitsune," Abolith said. "It doesnt matter that you are grown. By kitsune standards you are but a child, an infant in over their head."
Kari now began to laugh softly as she gazed at the dark elf. "Normally you would be correct," she smiled. "However, Liliths spell making me mortal had an unintended consequence. You see, instead of gaining an extra tail every 100 years, my mortality means I gain one every 10."
Kari now began to transform, the 35 year old womans features becoming more vulpine, dark fur covering her body as her her feet became digitgrade. Soon an dark anthro fox woman stood before Abolith, a fox woman with 4 tails.
"Your going to have to deal with a four tailed kitsune Abolith," Kari stated. "One trained in combat and magic since her rebirth."
Abolith narrowed her eyes, withdrawing her sword as she stared down both Kari and Mika. A four tailed kitsune would be quite a handful, coupled with a wizard who had merged with one. Today the assassins skills would be put to the test.
