As Abolith now fought with Mika and Kari; Lynne, Mary Elise, and Diane now tried their best to hold Fukushu's forces at bay. "Hey Misery nows your time to shine," Lynne yelled as she unleashed a blast if energy at an oncoming group of Voids.
"Its Mary," Mary Elise seethed.
"Whatever," Lynne yelled as she and Diane erected a barrier to deflect gunfire. "Just do what you do best!"
Mary Elise grumbled, the teen hated that this future Lynne knew of her hated nickname. Now the teen wondered what exactly Lynne was talking about? What exactly did her future hold? Shaking these thoughts from her head, she now focused on the soldiers and Voids advancing towards them. Focusing her magic she now watched as her Ring of Transformation began to glow.
The first thing Mary Elise noticed was the soldiers rifles. At first it seemed like the rifles were simply glowing. The soldiers didnt seem to notice, that is until they began to melt. Mary Elise watched as the soldiers eyes went wide in shock, their rifles turning into silly putty, which melted in their hands.
With the soldiers neutralized, Mary Elise now focused her attention on the Voids. The teen was already well aware of how tough these things were after facing them at Circe's Amusement Park. A head on confrontation was fruitless, Mary though had a different plan.
Focusing her magic on the ground Mary now began to change the mountain itself. As the Voids charged forward, Mary Elise could see them hit the soft spots she had created. The Voids now began to sink, sucked in by the force of the quagmire she had created. The creatures continued to thrash, lunging forward as they tried to attack. These actions only doomed them further. One by one Mary Elise watched as the creatures sank beneath the surface of the mountain, which only became solid again after each Void had vanished from sight.
"Not bad Mary," Kellie smiled. Mary Elise turned to see her friend. Kellie and Jack were both sweating, a flame of light and darkness flickering between them. "Is the spell done," she asked.
"We need more time," Jack stated. "Help the others and hold them off."
Mary Elise nodded, turn6once more to the battle. Everyone was now fighting for their lives, blast of magical energy swirling everywhere. Katie fighting Fukushu as Mika and Kari spared with Abolith. Turning once more to Doane and Lynne she could see more soldiers and Voids approaching. Hopeful there efforts would be enough.

Yuriko, Naomi, and the other Mary Elise now sped towards the top floor. They had gotten word that the infant Yuriko was in danger. Not wanting to waste time the three wizards made their way towards the upper floors.
As they arrived on the top floor, they paused. "Where too now," Naomi whispered. Yuriko now tried to reach out, seeing if she could sense her past self. Slowly she opened her eyes as she sensed a faint sign of life. "This way."
Mary Elise and Naomi now followed Yuriko as she weaved her way through the halls. As she stopped in front of a door she paused. "In here."
Mary Elise now stepped forward, the college coed useing her magic to tear the door from its hinges. As the trio now rushed forward they surveyed the room.
The room was empty, save for a lone table in the middle. As Yuriko moved slowly towards the table her eyes went wide as she gazed at a sleeping infant, an infant that was her.
"Is the baby okay," Naomi asked.
As Yuriko was about to nod, the future teens body went stiff, a gittural cry escaping her lips. Confused Naomi and Mary Elise were about to say something before a skeletal hand pierced the future teens chest.
"Yuriko!"
Blood dripped from Yurikos mouth as she gazed at the gaping wound in her chest. The hand had missed her heart but collapsed a lung. Screaming with what little breath she had she used her magic to push whatever was attacking her away.
"None shall leave alive," Deimos the lich hissed. "All shall perish before me!"
Yuriko slumped to the ground, trying to stem the bleeding as Naomi and Mary Elise attacked. Yuriko could do little but watch, her Aunt useing her wand to attack the lich with attacks Yuriko recognized from Naomi's extensive anime collection. No matter what she did though caused little damage to the creature who countered. Naomi was losing, her injuries mounting as she tried to save them.
"Mary," Yuriko thought, trying to use her powers to communicate with the coed. "The lich has a weakness and only one weakness."
"I know," Mary Elise responded. "I'm trying to figure it out. Any suggestions?"
Yuriko now tried to study the lich. Deimos was a hulking lich. The massive creature was draped in dark robes, his skull and skeletal hands the only thing visible. The lich derived its power from an object that contained its soul. This object could never be far from the lich, meaning Deimos most likely had it on him. The only question was where?
"The crown," she thought.
Glancing at the fused amalgamation on Deimos head, Yuriko immediately realized it contained Deimos power. She could sense a subtle trace of magic emanating from within. "Mary the crown," she thought.
Mary Elise nodded, watching as Naomi was now flung backwards, the teen crashing like a ragdoll through a neighboring wall. Concentrating Mary Elise now summoned forth a series of magical vines. The vines were strong as steel as they sped forward, ensnaring the crown and tearing it from the liches head.
Deimos roared, in both rage and fear as Mary Elise now held his crown. A small smirk now spread across the womans face as Deimos attacked. "Give that to me," he growled, sending the coed crashing into the hallway. Mary Elise said nothing, a smile spreading across her face as she now invoked a spell to destroy magical objects.
The crown now seemed to glow, cracks spreading across it before it burst into pieces. Deimos howled, the lich seeming to writhe in pain as it vanished into the ether. A deafening silence now lingered as the three wizards gathered themselves. They had won but their victory came at a cost. Bruised, bleeding and battered Mary Elise now picked up the infant as Naomi helped Yuriko. They needed to leave now.
