With a few final rubs and snaps, Mary watched in ashen-faced horror as her former best friend grew even more massive in her last push and reached a size in which she could snap Mary (or indeed a whole man!) up in her long powerful jaws. The giant black dragon's nostrils flared suddenly and a plume of acrid smoke rose into the air.
"What was that?" Jess growled.
Her voice was now so deep and threatening that the ground shook when the dragon spoke. Mary began to whimper and took several steps back.
"I thought so. You said you could fix this." The dragon snarled, curling up her lips to reveal jagged serrated teeth. The creature rose on all fours to her terrifying full height, perhaps stories tall, and stared down at Mary with burning anger. Her reptilian eyes narrowed.
"I-I lost... the... the..."
"YOU SAID YOU COULD FIX THIS! FIX ME!" The dragon bellowed, with enough ferocity that a ball of orange flames rose from her nose. This startled even Jess and she stared down her long snout with fascination. The massive reptilian giant turned, heavy feet thundering on the road, and admired her physique. Her tight muscles, her raw power, her beautifully dark scutes and scales.
"Although..." The dragoness whispered, cracking a smirk as she looked over herself with increasing lust. "Perhaps you already did."
"W-Wait!" Mary threw her hands up. "N-No, Jess! You're human!"
The dragon chuckled as people began to leave their houses to stare at the impossible monster presently standing on the street next to the rubble of their neighbor's home.
"Am I?" Jess whispered, lowering her massive head down to stare at her friend. "I don't look human anymore. Don't feel human. Isn't this what you wanted, Mary? Isn't this why you did this to me?"
"Jess, please, we can change you back..." Mary began to hyperventilate. "People are staring!"
"Let them stare." The dragoness grinned evilly, rows of jagged teeth breaking into a hideous grin. The dragon rose to her full height, snapped her tail and wings out into an awesome display, and roared deeply and ferociously, tossing up a jet of pure flame from her mouth and causing the pleasant outdoor sky to momentarily haze with smoke. The people around her screamed and broke into panic, many fleeing outright, others desperately running back into their homes.
Mary cowered before the mighty dragoness and whimpered.
"Tell me what you did to me." Jess commanded.
