"Why go through that essay stuff when I could just possess the member of the school board and legitimize your club?" Alec asked.
"I have recently met you so I haven't thought of the ramifications of your abilities but okay. That is a lot better than my plan, even though I love writing. I'm still going to write about you though."
"Okay… I'm just going to finish eating beans."
Several trees were uprooted and blocked the courtyard so the University won't open until tomorrow. Craig messaged the other members of the supernatural club that their way to having a clubhouse and real funds they could use for the school festival is within arms reach.
Alec, on the other hand, could busy with the likes of them for a year or two. He has no home, no contacts, and no money in this world. It would be best if there are people that get to know the real him, not just the people he possesses. And besides, the fact that he still gets hungry means he needs someone that can provide him with food. And Craig's pantry is well-stocked with beans.
Alec ate another bowl of microwaved beans and Craig joined him with another. While they were eating, Craig jabbed Alec with questions after question and writing his answers on a small notepad.
"Are you a ghost?" Craig asked.
"No, I am a human. Just like you."
"The powers? Where did you get it?"
"From god."
"God is real?"
"Yeah, and he is a pain in the ass. Guy sent me crashing from the sky and burnt my 200$ clothes to smithereens."
"You were last night's mysterious meteor? You broke the windows of a rich guy's tower."
"I did?"
"Yeah, you did. Aside from the storm, you are the topic of the news. So, mustard or mayonnaise?"
"Gross. Ketchup."
The questions did not stop until Alec was in his fourth bowl. Craig mined a goldmine of answers from this mysterious fellow. His name is Alec, the same age as him. He hails from a different world where they use liquefied reptilian bones as energy. Then he has the gall to call crystals that store the sun's power weird.
"With your powers, you could just hop in the next body and leave me here. Why stay and entertain the likes of me?" Craig asked.
"You're the second guy I've possessed and your deal with that club of yours interested me. And these beans are starting to grow on me. Keep them up and I'll stay." By the number of cans in the pantry, he could last two nuclear winters with how many they are.
They spent the rest of the day just talking to each other, like a weed session minus the weed. Craig let Alec borrow his laptop where he could make his social media profile in this world and see if a version of his family exists in this world. They don't, which saddened Alec. During their talk, the front door opened and Craig's roommate walked in. Victor paid no mind as Craig often invites his friends over for their supernatural club meeting since they don't have a club room. This guy beside him is new but looks like a dork like the rest of Craig's club.
Alec eyed the newcomer with judging eyes. Craig's roommate named Victor is somewhat of a cool guy as Craig mentioned. He studies a lot, frequents the local library where he's flirting with the girl he met there a few weeks ago. If he's not studying, he is playing bass in the local bar with his friends. He joined in a band battle once and won. That should be an easy way to get girls but bass players don't get the chicks.
