"You're going to fight it?" said Dina, amazed. "But Bob, that's-"
"It would be stupid to run from a wolf," reasoned Bob, tipping the hex towards the number 2.
The display now read:
"You try to hit the wolf, but miss.
The wolf hits you.
Choose one: 1) Run 2) Fight..."
Without any hesitation, Bob again tipped the hex to 2.
"You hit the wolf.
The wolf hits you. You are badly injured. Warning: if you are hit again, you may die!
Choose one: 1) Run 2) Fight..."
"Oh no," said Bob. "What happens if I die?"
"No idea," said Ryan. "But I don't think we want to know."
"Wait! I'll play this card!" said Lissi, putting down a card. It read, "BODY: Stat exchange. Choose two players and/or creatures. These two swap all physical stats. (i.e. health, wounds, illness, etc.)"
"I play it on Bob and..." she hesitated, looking around at everyone else at the table, not want them hurt. "...and the wolf."
The card disappeared and the display flashed. "Lissi exchanges the body stats of Bob and the Wolf!
The wolf is now critically hurt; Bob is now in good health.
Other miscellaneous properties exchanged."
"Good move," said Bob. "I was wo-" He stopped mid-sentence. "What the-?"
The others followed his gaze and saw that his body was vibrating rapidly. "What did you do, Lissi?" said Dina.
There was a brilliant flash of light and then it stopped, but instead of Bob, sitting in his place was the wolf.
"Eek!" screamed Lissi, scrambling back.
The wolf, however, didn't attack them, instead it looked at itself bewildered then howled loudly.
Ryan was confused. "Why is it- Bob?"
The wolf nodded.
"The card must have given Bob the wolf's whole body," said Lissi, amazed. "Bob, can you hear me?"
Bob nodded, then let out something which sounded like a growl.
"He's still himself," she said, relieved. "We'd better finish this game, and quickly."
