Jeff shook his head. "Maybe later. I want to find out what living with an apatosuarus head for a butt is like before I make my whole family like us. Maybe there's some changes I'll want to make. Unless there's changes you want to make, too."
But before Amy could answer, they heard a shout from below. "Mom's home! You're in trouble, now!"
Jeff frowns. "Ah, crap. I guess it'll have to wait. I'd better uninstall the Chronivac and hide it. No way my mom's gonna be okay with me having something like this, even if I am 18! Oh wait, you'll be okay if I uninstall this, right?"
Amy nods. "Do not worry. Any changes you set in place will remain. The Chronivac only initializes the changes. Although it's possible to set changes to auto-revert on a timer. That only works so long as the Chronivac is turned on."
"I'll keep that in mind. I hope you're right about my mom thinking it's normal for you to be my butt." He began uninstalling the Chronivac.
"Don't worry, she will. In fact, the way things are now, she's technically going to be both our moms. Oh, I can't wait to meet her!"
"That's kinda weird, but I guess so. You don't know anything about her, though."
"Well, I do now. Thanks to the reality settings, I know enough to be a part of your family. Of course, knowing about them is very different than meeting them for real."
"Okay, what's my mom's favorite food?"
"Chili mac."
"Okay, that's even more weird that you'd know that, but I'm not gonna complain." Jeff then hides the Chronivac in his dresser, and unlocks and opens his door. He sits back at his computer, letting Amy slide through its rear opening. He then opens a web site, making it look like this is what he's been up to. He then hears knocking on the open door behind him.
"Jeff, Amy, I have supper."
They both answer "Okay, mom." Jeff's mom looks at the computer screen for a moment, before walking off.
Amy smiles and looks towards Jeff. "She's even better in person."
"I'm glad you like her." He pets Amy on the head. To Amy, the gesture feels nice. To Jeff, it only adds to the weirdness, feeling his altered butt like this. Something to get used to.

Supper was surprisingly normal. Jeff ate at his fast food while Amy watched and conversed like a regular part of the family. Jeff tried to hide a smirk while his mom silenced his little sister for not minding her business. He wondered if he could use the Chronivac in some way to make his sister less annoying. Jeff's dad got home from work towards the end of the meal, as usual. And like the rest of the family, he was completely unphased by the blue talking apatosaurus that was Jeff's butt. Jeff may not have been ready to change his family yet, but he imagined the family dynamic would be quite interesting if they all had their own dino butts taking part in the conversation.
After dinner, Jeff joined his family to watch TV. Normally he'd have gone back into his room and shut in for the night, but Amy was taking a liking to her new family, and he himself found it very interesting being around his family with his new dino friend. (Sister?) The sofa wasn't quite made for an apatosaurus butt, but he could comfortably sit at the end of the sofa in such a way that Amy could rest her head on their mom's lap, his mom petting Amy's head while his little sister leaned against their mom on the other side. It was so weird to Jeff, feeling his mom pet his transformed butt like this. But to his mom and the rest of the family, Amy was more than just Jeff's butt; Amy was a member of the family. And as weird as the situation was, he kinda liked this altered family dynamic.
