While Amanda had been the boldest, that didn’t throw the other girls off their plans.
There was Casey, who pushed Taylor away when the two talked at the lockers for a chance to talk to Maggie and invite her out on a date. Looking back, could see that it looked a little funny to the onlookers, but at the moment, Taylor was not amused and neither was Maggie.
“Sorry, Casey, but I already have a girlfriend and her name is Taylor.”
Casey shrugged, ignoring the evil eye given to her by Taylor from behind, “Alright, don’t call it a date, but a study date, same thing.”
“No, Casey, I don’t want to go out with you,” Maggie crossed her arms, “I am happy with Taylor and I don’t want anyone else.”
Casey made a ‘tch’ sound before walking off, “Fine, I’ll ask another time then.”
The two watched Casey turn the corner before Maggie sighed, “Hard of hearing, some of them.”
Taylor hummed in thought, a devious smirk appearing, “Hard of hearing, eh? Let’s improve it then!” Maggie gave Taylor a look before deciding not to talk her out of it, it wouldn’t be possible anyway and best to let it out of her system.

Grumbling, Casey just continued, ignoring where her classmates where going and instead going to the back alley where, hopefully, somebody had a joint or a smoke. The best way to get there would be through the side entrance and there happens to be a group of girls talking about one or another – not that Casey cares – so, she just walks past and almost falls to the side by what feels like a disembodied body slam from the groups side. It was a tumultuous mass of something that hit Casey dead center and she has no idea what it is before it shifted into something she currently feels when the girls turned to look at her: confusion.
Snarling at the group and suddenly the confusion turned to fear, startling Casey quite a bit. So the girl just sped through the door and to where one of the slackers was taking a puff, before calm and sleepiness struck her, Casey nearly falling and hitting the wall, just barely avoiding in favor of a leaning position close to the guy.
She is still very confused as to what is going on, even as her actual senses dull from her own smoke, the foreign feelings remain strong and varied…

Maggie blinked at Taylor, the explanation of the change still fresh in her mind, “Empathy power?”
“In a sense,” Taylor nodded, “As fun it would be to turn her into a bunny or bunny-girl, that wouldn’t change her much. Her knowing what people feel works better, as without knowing what the person is feeling, she could just think ‘I just need to convince her’ or the like, while with the power, she knows the true feelings of others and can’t use the same justification. In the end, she becomes a better person and uses her gift to help people, so a win-win.”
“Nice, but,” Maggie held up a rose, “What do we do about my latest secret admirer? The last one you gave a concussion.”
“Not my fault she had been hiding under the concrete stairs and jumped headfirst upwards when a teacher surprised her,” Taylor muttered under her breath, “But that was useful because the talk ended up finding out her home situation and they are in the process of helping her, so she’ll be fine in the long run,” Taylor regarded the rose, “Not sure what to do with this one. It’s Laura.”
“Laura the girl with intense anxiety?” Maggie realized why this would be a problem. The bets way to help Laura would be to lessen or get rid of her anxiety, but that could make her bolder to ask in a forward manner.
“So, yeah, I’ll need to see what it is to-” “Hey, Maggie!” Tina unceremoniously pushed Taylor away, “Are you doing anything tonight? Cuz I’m interested in a movie and the cute couples get a discount!”
Maggie slowly blinked at Tina, “I am not interested, I already have a girlfriend in Taylor.”
“But-”
“And don’t start with the whole shtick of ‘doing so much better’. Trust me, I won’t break up with Taylor for someone’s sloppy seconds.”
Tina harrumphed at that, “Maybe if you actually knew what you were worth you’d be singing another tune!”
“Too bad for you, I do know. And Taylor is the bar set.” Maggie smirked at that, making Tina scowl and the teen stomp off.
“You know, getting shoved might’ve been funny the first time, but this is ridiculous.” Taylor mutters darkly as Maggie helps her up.
Then Maggie looked at the snarling Tina and the rose Laura gave, “Are you open to ideas?”
Taylor raised an eyebrow at that. And when Maggie explained, she would gain a smirk.
The following break, the couple would see Laura and her new service dog Tina, the girl even talking animatedly with some other classmate about a common interest, Tina wagging her tail at her human’s good mood.
