Shivers and spasms continue to rack your body as you drop to your knees, the book slipping out of your grasp and falling to the floor. What the fuck is happening to you, you wonder? Your skin feels hot and itchy, and every part of your feels tingly and weird.
Black-and-white hairs start to erupt from your itchy skin, rapidly thickening into the beginnings of a dog’s fur coat. Your ringing ears are the next to change, growing big and furry and pointed as they shift up the sides of your head. Your canine teeth sharpen into fangs inside your mouth, and you start to pant involuntarily.
A few cracks can be heard in your back as your spine realigns, forcing you down onto your hands and knees. As soon as your tingling hands hit the floor, they start to shift, fingers shortening and thickening, fingernails turning black and sharpening, pads forming on your palms.
The fur continues to thicken and grow as your thighs thicken and meld into a dog’s quadrupedal haunches. Your feet are forced into a digitigrade stance, growing claws and pads like your hands until they’re nothing but a pair of doggy hind paws. Your nose turns black and wet, as your face stretches forwards into the muzzle of a canine.
Finally, a pressure can be felt above your rump as a fluffy dog’s tail sprouts, beginning to wag back and forth. With that, you’ve turned completely into a dog — a Border Collie! No better way to learn about dogs than by being one... though that might make it a little harder to get through vet school.
