Lisa reached for her cellphone, she knew exactly who to show this to. Quickly she now sent her best friend Paige a text asking her to come over.
Twenty minutes later Lisa raced to the door, flinging it open to see her best friend. "So what's so important," Paige asked. Lisa smirked, taking her best friends hand as the two 16 year olds raced upstairs.
Explaining the stop watch to Paige proved to be a bit harder than Lisa had anticipated. Unfortunately with reality altering Paige had no knowledge of Lisa's previous birth date. "Do you really expect me to believe this Lisa," Paige asked. "Cmon what's the gag here?"
"What if I show you," Lisa asked. Paige shrugged, crossing her arms across her chest as Lisa now fiddled with the watch.
Testing the watch on herself wouldnt help. Aside from Paige's perception being altered, Lisa wasnt exactly ready to give up driving. Instead she now handed the watch to Paige. "Okay Paige hit the self button."
Paige shrugged, hitting the self button before raising an eyebrow. "16 years 10 monthes 15 days," she asked. "Um Lisa what is this?"
"Your age duh," Lisa exclaimed. "That's how old you are right now. If you hit the button you become younger. Trust me it actually works."
"Okay let's say I actually believe you," Paige said. "Why would I want to become younger?"
"Because I know you hate having a December birthday for one," Lisa said. "And two, I know you hate being the oldest in our grade."
Paige nodded, she always hated her December birthday. Growing up she always felt like she was short changed on either Christmas or her birthday. As far as being the oldest, she liked dating guys older than her. Unfortunately it meant dating upper clansmen, which was unfortunate since she had a crush on some of the guys in her grade. "What the hell why not," she thought as she hit the button.
Lisa and Paige now watched anxiously as the stop watch began counting down. 16 years 10 monthes 14 days, 13 days, 12 days.
"Well I dont feel younger," Paige said.
"That's because it's only been a few days," Lisa explained. "You have to give it a minute."
Paige sighed, looking down once more at the watch. 16 years 8 months 15 days. "Okay let's say this is true," Paige said. "How would you remember what my old birthdate was? I mean if your telling me that I cant remember your old birthday than how can you remember mine?"
"Well I'm sitting right next you," Lisa said. "Plus I'm watching it with you. By the way you might want to check you license now and pause the watch."
Paige looked down at the watch, seeing it now said 16 years 4 months and 12 days. If this were true, she would have celebrated her birthday on June 20th. Pausing the watch, Paige now withdrew her license before gasping in shock.
"Holy shit," she exclaimed. "Lisa my birthdays in June now!"
Lisa smirked, seeing that Paiges birthdate was now 6/20/2004. "Told ya," she laughed.
Paige said nothing, dropping the watch as she now looked between her friend and her license. This was incredible. The only question was what to do next.
