It felt like hours had gone by and Matt and almost started thinking that Ben had forgotten him, when he opened the door and walked in.
Ben was looking around the room, when he saw the condom on the floor and picked it up.
"Hey Matt, is that you?" Matt tried to respand to him, but couldn't speak.
"I better check the Chronivac." Ben sat down on the chair in front of Matt's computer, and opened the Chronivac program.
"Huh, the Chronivac says this is a normal condom so maybe i-" Ben's sentence suddenly broke off
"Wait, if this is a normal condom, then why does the Chronivac say that it's named Matt?"
Ben opened the records of all recent changes and confirmed that the condom was his friend.
"Why does it register him as a regular condom?"He looked at the records again and noticed that the last change was noted as a transformation being undone, due to the timer running out.
"Did it mess up because i rebooted it?"
Matt had alredy started to panic from Ben's words. Did this mean he was stuck? Could Ben turn him back?
He was still caught up in his thoughts, when he started to feel himself turn back.
Ben did it! Matt would've jumped in joy, if he'd already had his legs back.
Matt had just managed to stand up, when Ben turned around witha concerned look on his face.
"I've got good news and bad news. Wich do you want to hear first?" Matt became nervous "Give me the bad news first."
Ben sighed and said "The bad news are that there was an error message when i tried to permanently turn you back.
It said that transforming inanimate objects into living creatures is only possible for a maximum of 48 hours in the current version of 4.0 ."
"What?! Do you mean i'll turn into a condom every two days?! How can there be any good news!"
Matt was terrified at the prospect of being completely helpless once every two days.
"The good news are that i put in a backup this time. I've made it so that being used and thrown away triggers your transformation into a person. This way we'll atleast be able to make sure that you'll never be stuck as a condom and won't have to rely on the Chronivac."
"Why do i have to be thrown away for it to work?!"
"Well, we don't want you to turn back while you're inside someone, if it ever comes to that. I don't know what would happen if you did."
Matt sighed "I guess you're right, sorry for yelling." Ben smiled at him "Don't worry about it.".
