Ty's Power

Take Two... more horses for sale

Shrugging, Brian started trotting for LavenGuard. Brian showed up a few minutes later, her nose wrinkled in obvious disgust. Although most of the people stared at her, no one seemed to care about a centaur being in town. Those that Brian could see smiled and waved at her, while those out of sight whispered and laughed nastily.

"Hail, centauress!" A large, beefy man in a leather apron and loincloth strode out of the town stable. "Welcome to our town."

Brian nodded and smiled, having seen only friendly faces. "Greetings, sir! I am an adventureress passing through in search of my mate Mike perhaps you've seem him." "There are several members of my party waiting outside. Is your village open to all races? None of us are human."

The man grinned even more broadly. "But of course! We are always happy to see elves, satyrs, minotaurs, and others. But we have a special place for centaurs - your kind are quite important to us. And I must say that you are one of the finest specimens I have ever seen!"

Brian actually blushed brightly very much in character for a female, but Ty knew that he wouldn't be able to do that much longer. "I thank you for the compliment. Are there other centaurs here?"

The man nodded and gestured towards the stable. "Several of your kind are inside. I am sure they would love to see you, perhap one is your mate. Our tavern is not really set up to serve those of your bulk."

"That would be great!" Brian agreed following the man back to the stable. Chuckling, Ty popped inside and watched as they entered the huge barn-like building. There were many fine horses in here, but no centaurs were visible.

The former human looked around, obviously puzzled. "Where are the centaurs?"

"Out back, I suppose. Why don't you wait here and I'll get one of them for you." The man indicated a large, empty stall.

Brian looked a bit annoyed, but plodded into the stall. "OK. But tell them to hurry, please I miss my stallion."

What another idiot, thought Ty. Well, it looked like the party was going to be down yet another player. Having set the town up, he knew that these people atually hated centaurs - but they did make good use of them.

He watched as Brian the centuatress looked around the large, dirty stall. It had obviusly been recently used by a large horse, probably one of the big draft animals the townspeople used to pull wagons and plows. The former elf had not noticed that the blend of horse hide and human skin just below her waist was starting to creep upwards. Or that her equine body was getting a bit shaggier and larger.

Brian stretched out stiffness in her back and arms, and paced impatiently. She sniffed at the grain and scooped a handful up to her mouth. Crunching absently on the unhulled oats, she glanced back to where the man had walked off, but remained obediantly in the stall.

Ty gritted his teeth angery and disgusted. This was too easy, were they all going to be so simply; as to stand there and turn into a horse without even realizing it!?!?
