Steven gave a sigh of relief as he sat in his chair in his den. He didn't have anything in particular against hospitals, but he was glad he was able to get Fleur and their new children out of there so soon after they were born. With Horizon Light opening up for COVID patients who were too many for other hospitals to house, the risk of infection has grown substantially. And Steven was quite aware that people can be recklessly cavalier about public health; either not wanting to wear a mask out of inconvenience or stubbornly persisting that there was no virus. Hopefully when the new GOP takes power, they can start dealing with this pandemic the way the current was supposed to have.
Then Steven checked the to-do list he had on his phone. Of course, one of the things was to tell his human family about his new children. Steven wasn't looking forward to that. His human family had been obviously looking forward to inheriting his vast wealth. And not only was he young, fit, and healthy again, but these kits may end up his only heirs. Not that Steven was planning on cutting them off, but it was a little disheartening to see how selfish and greedy his family had become. Well, it's not like they'll be visiting soon anyways. Not that Steven didn't trust them with the kits, but he didn't want the risk of bringing the coronavirus into his new house.
Speaking of which, Steven was starting to realize he may have made his manor too big. Sure, he had a growing family, but it still takes quite a long time to get the place clean every week. He'll need to start hiring a staff soon. Fortunately, there was already one promising candidate. A young woman named Milli who had garnered his attention by...by... Steven paused and thought it over. Huh, he couldn't remember. What with having to deal with his wife giving birth and the influx of patients carrying COVID, it had slipped his mind. But it didn't matter. He can ask her about it later. Thankfully with modern technology, he can give her an interview without having to actually talk to her in person.

"Ok, your resume looks like it's order. I'll have to verify with the people listed, of course," said Steven, "I hope you're good with babies."
"I've babysat more than a few kids in my time," said Milli, "There is one thing I'm uncertain about."
"What's that?" asked Steven.
"Well, I want to convert, but I can't make up my mind about what I wanna be," said Milli.
"Maybe I can help with that," said Steven, "Do you have any preliminary ideas?"
"Well, I think I'd prefer to be a mammal, one with a long bushy tail," said Milli, "Something I'd like to cuddle with."
"Well, I don't think Fleur would like having another vixen around the house," said Steven.
"I can understand that," said Milli.
"What about a squirrel or a skunk?" asked Steven.
"Not a skunk," said Milli, "Don't think I can stand all those stinker jokes. And squirrels don't seem to suit me."
"There's always a cat," said Steven.
"I've thought of that. But the only ones I can think of with long, fluffy tails are Persians and I don't want to have a snub nose," said Milli.
"That's not the only breed of cat like that," said Steven, "What about Maine Coons?"
"Hmm...might be a little too much hair," said Milli.
"A Siberian?" suggested Steven.
Milli thought it over and said, "Actually, I think I could go with that. A silver and white Siberian, that'd look good with me."
"I don't know how you'd get the specific coloration, but I'll help with paying for the conversion," said Steven, "Though I'll have to verify your credentials first."
"So I'm hired?" asked Milli.
"Not just yet," said Steven, "I'd like have a trial period first. See you are with housekeeping and babysitting."
"Well, that's fair," said Milli.
