Laura’s growling stomach woke her up. She slipped out of bed, ignoring the state of her diaper. Judging by the smell, feeling, and weight, she’d pooped and peed during the night. But more uncomfortable than that was her empty stomach. So she wanted to address that first, diaper rash be damned.
Thankfully, there were plenty of food options for Laura to select from, even though none of them had been purchased with a toddler in mind. Laura grabbed applesauce and a spoon, then devoured it hungrily. In her hurry to eat, she splattered applesauce all over, but didn’t care. She followed the applesauce with a small bowl of dry cereal.
Now thirsty, Laura debated what to drink, before remembering about the box of supplies that should be waiting for her on her doorstep. She began to go for the front door. Getting sick of the waddle from the load in her diaper, she removed her diaper cover and dirty diaper, leaving both on the floor.
Laura opened the door, messy and naked, and dragged the box inside. She opened it up. Right on top were juice boxes. She grabbed one. As she drank it, she decided to get changed, so she headed for the bathroom.
However, she had forgotten to close the front door.
