Danny is actually already at the museum with Grant’s partner in crime right now. But his sister, Sarah, doesn’t know that. Grant toddles out of Danny’s room and into his sister’s bedroom. Sarah sits on her bed, putting on shoes. She smiles at Grant.
“Look at you, big boy! Getting ready to go all on your own!”
“Me ‘cited,” Grant says in a childish lisp. Sarah chuckles. “Go moo-sum!”
“That’s right! I’m so glad your Uncle Grant suggested it. It’s such a good idea.” Sarah finishes putting on her shoes and scoops Grant up. “Time to load up!”
Sarah carries Grant to her minivan, where he is buckled into a car seat. To his surprise, Sarah fishes a pacifier out of her purse and pops it into Grant’s mouth. Then, Grant remembers Sarah saying something about how Danny gets carsick unless he’s sucking on a pacifier. Reluctantly, Grant suckles on the pacifier to keep up the appearance. Sarah smiles.
They head out. The drive to the museum is thankfully short. When they arrive, Sarah takes Grant out of the car seat, then pulls back the waistband of his shorts.
“Oh, you’re wet!” she announces. Grant can’t believe it. Really? He wet himself? At the very least, he thought he would be able to tell when he peed, even if he couldn’t control it. “Don’t worry, Mommy will get you in some fresh big boy pants before we go inside.”
To Grant’s horror, Sarah changes him right there in the parking lot. She removes his pants and pull-ups, wipes him down, and then redresses him in a fresh pair of pull-ups and his pants. They go inside.
Grant leads Sarah over to the gallery where he’s supposed to meet up with his partner in crime. Once Sarah looks the other way, Grant runs off, locating his partner, Thomas, who has the real Danny.
“Next time, you kid,” Grant grumbles to Thomas. “Sarah change me.” Thomas switches Grant and Danny’s clothes, then brings Danny over to Sarah.
“Excuse me, but is this your boy?” Thomas says. Sarah looks over. She gasps.
“Danny, you scared me, wandering off like that! Thank you.”
“No worries,” Thomas says cheerfully. He goes back to Grant. “Ready?” Grant nods.
The plan is simple. Once they’ve committed the robbery, Grant and Danny switch places again. Then, tomorrow, Sarah will drop Grant off at Danny’s daycare, where Thomas will be waiting with the real Danny. Grant and Danny switch back, and Grant and Thomas get off scot-free.
