Sarah took a breath, staying as calm as she could when she was literally attached to her boyfriend. She looked at Luke, not sure what to say at first.
“So you’re saying that the others weren’t already conjoined, and now everyone will think that me and you, somehow, are just like this.” Luke nodded.
“If what you said was right, yeah.” Sarah looked worried, slowly putting her one arm around to Luke’s side, seeming to try and hug him.
“What are we going to do?”
“I don’t know. Well just have to learn to live like this. If you wa....” Sarah’s phone would interrupt with a message from Sarah’s parents. It asked when Luke and Sarah would be home, noting that they said they’d be staying their that week. Sarah looked at Luke, then Alisa.
“What should I say?” Luke looked at his mom, then sighed.
“Probably best to go. We’ll... we’ll be back later Mom.” Alisa just nodded, and Luke looked at Sarah as they got up and started walking to Sarah’s house, all be it not that well.
“Why’s walking so tricky?”
“Well, we each only have one side.”
“I guess that’s true.”
