Karl asked, "So Chad, what color underwear did you decide to wear today?"
"Color?" Chad asked.
Karl pulled over muttering. Dog's didn't see in color, so they don't need to know colors. He hadn't even restored Chad's color vision. He got his tablet out of the backseat.
"Is something wrong, Karl?" Chad asked.
Karl typed. Chad's expression went blank and he was silent.
"There color vision and memory restored. Did I forget anything else? I left his sense of smell partially enhanced, not nearly as intense as it was when he was all dog, but a hell of a lot more than most humans. Knowledge of baseball? Here's fetch and Frisbee, but that's using his mouth not hands. Better just restore all sports memories in case someone asks him about football or another sport. I'll upload all sports stories for the last six weeks in case anyone asks about current sports," Karl rambled on as he typed. He glanced at the time. They had to go now or they'd be late.
Chad blinked. Everything seemed more vivid than it had a moment before.
"Wow, that was some basketball game last night, Karl," Chad said but while he remembered the game, he couldn't remember where he saw it. On his computer? At a bar? On a big screen? Where?
Karl just agreed. "Yeah, some game."
He pulled up at the school, and parked. He got out. Chad was still in the car. Seatbelts! He forgot activating memories for seatbelts. Chad was pulling on his seat belt when Karl opened his door, and reached over and pushed the red release button.
Chad blushed. He should have known how to do that. He muttered something about not knowing enough about high tech foreign cars. Chad rubbed his chin, still no stubble. That was odd.
Karl shook his head. He would have to review Chad's memory files soon. Hopefully, enough academic information had been restored to get him through lunch.
