It took a total of just 3 days for the novelty of the conjoinment to fade from June. Not able to do anything except literally cry sleep and feed was sooooo boring. She couldn't even move her arms as May was in control of their body.
Today was just like the rest, wake up with their diaper filled with poop, cry, get changed, then fed, then rocked, then back sleep. Occasionally some playtime here and there was spread throughout the day, but that was basically it. But today was different. May finally spoke her first word... well sorta. "Une" was what she said, and while their parents thought it was just her babbling, June, who was attached to her, somehow knew her intention. She was trying to say "June".
June was shocked by this. She knew for a fact that babies this young shouldn't really be speaking, yet here May was. Only 4 and a half months old. "Come to think of it, how did I know what she was trying tosay?" thought June. Then she thought of 2 possibilities. For 1, they potential could read each other's minds since they shared a body. The other was that some of June's knowledge and intelligence had been shared with May, and had raised her own to the point where while maybe not at a late teenager's level, she was now way ahead mentally than what she should be. Even both were possible, and likely was the case, at least if she had to bet, that is what she would choose. That gave her an idea. Maybe she could teach May and then progress out of this boring baby period much faster. Hell, even if it didn't work, June was going to try it, if not just so that she didn't go insane from boredom.
