With the coming of the first snow, a number of new things began starting both in Lyre/Animalia and Dino City.
---
Patrick Diamond's daughter, Penny, had finally undergone conversion into a Tyrannotitan Dinotopian, and her double dosing seemed to make the two of them the same age, causing some people to mistake them for siblings, which could easily be forgiven. With Penny's successful conversion, Dino City had hit the stage that Lyre/Animalia had hit earlier, the part where the rich and "super-rich" members of society began swelling Dino City's population.
Another thing that began was the "Grand Hunt", where predator Dinotopians began hunting, not just wild pigs, but other animals as well to keep their numbers down, allow predator Dinotopians to indulge their hunter instincts, and provide some relief to farmers who had suffered from the wild pigs. Fortunately there was a local meat plant that offered discount rates for preparing the hunted pigs into Christmas hams, with some of them going to Lyre for their Christmas feast.
The influx of rich and "super-rich" society members coming to Dino City caused a bit of a problem with rezoning, but Lyre's own problem had been a good "head's up" for Dino City, and they already had prepared for just such an occasion, so the next step was redesigning upper-class mansions to fit in with the "Stone Age" theme of Dino City.
William and Candace already had their wedding shortly before the first snow began, and they were headed to Mieni Atoll for their Honeymoon. While the plane crash that happened there was a little startling, it was still going ahead as planned. Candace had decided to give William his "conversion" as a Christmas present, so she was being extra mysterious about why she was "refusing him", much to William's confusion.

Lyre/Animalia was dealing with the first snow in its own way since it was hit with a really heavy, steady snow. Because of this, the GGAC were extra busy, both with winter maintenance of certain houses and dealing with the influx of "nerds, dorks, and geeks" that had begun flowing into Animalia.
"So, Max," asked Peter as Max showed up at his first GGAC meeting, "How did you enjoy meeting the 'Mane Six'?" There were a few sniggers from the newest members at the unintentional dirty joke.
"It was really unexpected, to say the least." said Max. "It wasn't helped by the fact that my Shire 'status' makes me the largest stallion Animalian, in more ways than one, with some others taking a close second. Fortunately for me no hanky-panky happened quite yet, since I'm still not used to this." There were some more sniggering at that, since there were those who knew what Max meant
"So this is the part where we usually do the 'initiation' dungeon crawl, but since the first snow began, we have to postpone that." said Mara. "We've got a lot of work to do." At that, most of the new members groaned at the notion that they had to do 'work'. Max didn't mind, especially since he got to adjust to his new form, strength, etc. while shoveling snow around his new home/neighborhood.

Animalia Airport was also getting a smaller rush (smaller than usual around this time due to the pandemic) due to some people "migrating" to warmer locations for the winter. While the most famous couple was Henry and Beatrice, who were migrating to Mieni for their "first date", they weren't the only ones. Leslie and Ollie were heading to Vilcabamba, but were flying there "the old-fashioned way", since they had been regularly practicing long distance flight after Ollie's conversion, since they were planning on doing a flight all the way around the world, which was really ambitious, especially for bird Animalians. There were even some who were comparing their plan to "Around the World in 80 Days". Herman, Jason, Moxie, and Arlene, however, were planning on visiting Heiya Island both to enjoy Christmas there, and help out with some of the rescued girls there, even if they didn't really believe the news story about the amount of girls rescued.

WSA was going to be closing down for Christmas Break, but there was an "assignment" for over the holiday. It was about dealing with one of the headaches that was becoming increasingly common over the years: porch pirates. While the APD was doing a good job of keeping them down by ambushing them as they take it, it was decided to do a little something to help them out. While it would be easy enough to put dummy packages with oil and trash out for said thieves, there were those who were taking it to the next level. Some were attaching said boxes to air horns via fishline to alert the APD agents, while others were creating hi-tech pressure-sensitive triggers that would achieve a number of effects from loud noises (such as blaring alarms) to flashing bright lights attached to cameras, thereby allowing said cameras to snap a picture of the porch pirate.

Probably what all the upper classes in Animalia were looking forward to was the "classy" Christmas party Joanne was hosting at her mansion. She was developing a reputation of hosting these classy parties, but it wasn't too bad, even if Nicole thought that she was enjoying her restored youth a little too much.
