"Having fun Darren?"
Darren paused, Yuriko was speaking to him telepathically, something he hadn't known she could do. "Yuriko is that you," he thought in alarm.
"Yes Darren its me," she replied. "I see you've been busy this morning. Looks like your school has become a bit of a destination spot for youthful teaching prodigies."
Darren felt himself blush, hopefully he wasnt in too much trouble. "Is that bad thing," he asked.
"No not at all," Yuriko chuckled. "You e actually improved the reputation of your school. Nicely done. I do need to talk with you about what you are planning right now."
"What do you mean," Darren asked slightly confused.
"You're thinking of turning this girl Crystal into a Fairy Dragon," Yuriko stated.
"Is that a bad idea," Darren asked.
"Probably not the best of ideas," Yuriko stated. "Especially since the Dragon Queen is in my living room right now."
Darren felt the color drain from his face. Dragon Queen! He didnt even know their were actual dragons. Now he began to worry if he, and Yuriko, were in danger. "Is everything okay with you?"
"Tricia and I grew up together," Yuriko said. "However dragons have an uncanny ability for precognition. She's seen what you had in mind and asked me if you would hold off on that one. Crystal has a different destiny."
"Okay," Darren replied. "I guess I can do that." Darren now paused as he thought about everything that had taken place at school, specifically why he had stopped himself from transforminghis principal. "Yuriko how come I've been having flashes of some of my choices?"
"Ah," Yuriko replied. "Yes that happens from time to time. You see the ring guides your decisions. Helping you understand your choices. The previous catalyst experienced that as well."
"So do I have limits then on what I can do?"
"I wouldnt say you have limits," Yuriko stated. "However, the ring is immensely powerful. Before you cast a spell the ring studies the outcomes, if a spell would cause too much chaos the ring will try to give you a warning."
Darren nodded, still somewhat confused as to what the limits of his powers were. "I'm sensing a great deal of conflict within you Darren," Yuriko said. "Its natural especially at the beginning. Listen come by my home after school I want to introduce you to Tricia and my cousin Kari."
"Your cousin," Darren asked.
"Shes a kitsune," Yuriko chuckled. "After learning that Akira had a child of his own she wanted to meet you."
Darren gulped, agreeing to see Yuriko afterschool by himself. He now wondered just what was in store for him when the school day ended.
