Yuriko felt herself go pale at the mention of a blind kitsune. Touching the old wound on her chest, her thoughts now turned to the blind kitsune Isao. Could this pawns masters have been responsible for his injuries?
"Yuriko are you okay," Ayami asked. "You look pale."
"Just an old wound," she sighed. The elderly wizard now turned towards her friends. "We need to find out as much information on Thards mentors."
"Their arent alot of dark wizards left," Tricia stated. "Most of the ones left are two bit hustlers."
"Except two," Kari grumbled. The others nodded as Hannah curiously watched them. "Am I missing something," Hannah stated.
"They're are two dark wizards with enough power to seriously threaten Darren," Yuriko said quietly. "Jack and Fukushu."
"Jack wouldn't though," Ayami exclaimed. "The treaty."
"Yes I know," Yuriko answered. "Which leaves only Fukushu, and considering this one mentioned the liches I am...apprehensive." Yuriko now approached a small wooden box on her coffee table, opening it to reveal a small silver coin. "What is that," Hannah asked.
"When I was young," Yuriko said quietly. "My godparents gave me this coin to summon them whenever I needed them. It was a gift that was connected to a very powerful warlock."
"Jack," Akira asked to which Yuriko nodded. "I havent used the coin in years. Hopefully it can summon Jack from the other timeline." Hannah now watched as the coin began to glow in Yurikos hands.
Hannah gasped a pillar of flame bursting inside Yurikos living room. As the flames dissipated, Hannah suddenly felt cold, as if something was chilling her to the bone. Shuddering she now looked at a middle aged man dressed in a dark business suit.
"What's going on," Jack asked, his voice low. "Yuriko, did you summon me?"
"Hello Jack," Yuriko stated. "Sorry to bother you. I need your help."
The man nodded, closing his eyes and taking in a deep breath. "I see things have changed," he whispered, exhaling deeply. "A new Catalyst and it appears someone has altered MY creations."
Jack turned, a small smirk spreading across his face. "Ayami, Rexie, you look well. And it appears you've started a family. How is your daughter?"
Akiras dander stood up, a small growl escaping his lips. "Relax Akira," Jack said. "The treaty my mother forged with the clan prevents me from doing harm. Although, I very much hope to meet this child one day."
"Who the hell is this guy," Hannah exclaimed. "He looks like some evil business man from a bad movie. Blond hair, black suit, and the cliche bad guy speak."
"I am something you have not dealt with before girl," Jack growled as he stared at Hannah. "And considering you were the one that pushed the Catalyst to change Ayami and Rexie, I would tread lightly."
"Jack I didn't summon you here to scare this girl," Yuriko said, as she stepped in front of Hannah. "I need your help with this lackey."
Jack sighed, approaching Thard. "Who is this wannabe," he scoffed. "Did this peon actually claim to be a dark lord?"
"He most certainly did," Yuriko said. "More importantly though, from what he said his master and mentor are connected to the liches and a blinded kitsune."
Jack's eyes went wide as he rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "I see," he mumbled. "And I'm guessing their is a blood oath preventing him from revealing their names."
Jack nodded, a sinister smile cracking across his face. "I have ways of breaking blood oaths," he grinned. "Bob."
Thard had watched Jack anxiously, he could sense the incredible dark energy emanating from Jack. As he now wondered what would become of him, he felt a heavy hand thunder down upon his shoulder. Looking up Thard screamed as he gazed at a monstrous anthro zebra demon.
"You and I are going to have so much fun," Bob growled. Thard now screamed for all he was worth as he vanished into a portal of darkness.
As Bob and Thard now vanished, Jack chuckled. "Dont worry Yuriko," he said. "It wont take long to break him. I'll get you the information you need."
Jack now turned towards Hannah, his fierce expression softening as he looked at the young teen. "You seem like a good kid Hannah," he grinned. "My daughter was the Catalyst before your friend Darren. She too had strong willed friends such as yourself. Keep him safe, he will come to rely on you if he is to shape the world."
