"What am I going to do now?" You desperately asked the head Doctor. This entire situation was completely out of your mind. You had planned to just vanish from society into the world of red kangaroos. You were unemployed, homeless, and had nothing, even the clothes you wore in no longer fit you. You burned many bridges in the process, stepped on many toes of the higher ups back at your work, and while you likely were not blacklisted from the entire industry, finding a job a quiet office job a half kangaroo would be near impossibl. You did this all because you had planned to run away from human society and wanted to get out without any regrets.
The doctor pulled you aside, and handed you a bra that was just brought in. While you struggled to get it on, one of the female doctors cane over and helped you out. Getting the bra on was surprisingly difficult now with your wrists. Apparently that slight restriction which was almost negligible in your head, made doing things behind your back very challenging to accomplish.
The head doctor turned his back as you dressed, which was odd given how you were naked and were just surrounded by 8 doctors without much concern. Whill his back was towards you, he actually answered your rhetorical question. "Hmm, well, we do have a few options here for you. First, we can let you go home, and let you return to your normal life as best you can, and we will assist you where possible too. Or, you could live here. If you choose this, you have 2 choices then. Live as an employee, or live as an animal. From what it looks like, you are roughly 60% kangaroo, however a majority of all of your internal organs and such have all becoke that of a female kangaroo's. This means that if you wanted to, you could even find a male to mate with and get pregnant with a joey. Living as just another female roo is very possible for you. But it may become very boring. Alternatively, we could employ you as part of our staff. Likely carring for the kangaroos we have under our care, and as a subject for our research in preventing cases like yourself from happening in the future, as well as fixing you, and the other hybrids. We will fully support your decision either way, so, which will you choose, return to society, live as an animal, or become our employee?"
Well, going back would be very hard to do, but maybe going to a different area of the country would make it not be quite as hard. Plus all of your expenses will be covered for, so working isn't actually a requirement. The animal option was tempting at first, but as you were not a full roo, you were scared that your human parts would become an issue in the wild, plus you were still furless and your feet were still human sized. And the doctor was right, you would grow very bored very quickly, as your mind was still human for the most part.
The employment option seemed like it would be your best fit, but that meant being an occasional test subject, and actually working. But your needs would be met, and likely could still eventually mate when you were ready. Plus now that you had a bra on, hopping would not hurt your boobs quite as much. The downside, was that there was a slight chance that someone you knew could find you. And while they would be hard pressed to recognize you, there would always be that sliver of a chance.
After a few minutes of hard thinking, you finally decided on your choice.
