You were about to say your decision when suddenly another interruption happened, as woman who was dressed in such a way that screamed company big shot with excess money, and with a circle of guards acting as a bubble for her, loudly forced their way into the room. Everyone was silent as they were all staring at the newcomers. The circle of guards opened up to allow the woman to walk towards you and the head doctor, while the rest of the guards spread out and secured the room, making sure no one had a chance to approach the woman unnoticed. Behind her, the tallest and largest guard stood, meaning he was likely the best of them all and was acting as her personal bodyguard.
The head doctor nervously greeted the woman, clearly recognizing who she was. "What a pleasure it is to welcome you, Director Hyllos." The guard behind the Director doesn't even move an inch, but you knew that the moment you made a move towards anything, you would be "dealt with". However, while you were not too knowledgeable of the corporate hierarchy in this place, you knew the name Hyllos. The name was associated with one of the largest contributors towards the advancement, research, and normalization of the transformation drug. Without them, this drug likely would never have made it through all of the legal red tape and governmental BS needed to legalize its useage and distribution. And standing right infront of you was someone with that name in a director's position. No wonder there were so many guards.
"Hmm, Max, explain this one to me" said Director Hyllos, while removing her sunglasses and folding her arms.
"Right, well this girl here, well... uh..." while Max, the head doctor attempted to find a starting point, one of the guards hands Hyllos your file on a clipboard. When she took it, she began to read it, and instantly shot you an intrigued glance, before continuing to read over the file. Max never got to explain anything of relevance, as Hyllos snapped her fingers and motioned some kind of signal, after which all of the doctors and Max were escorted out of the room by the guards, leaving just you, Hyllos and her bodyguard alone together.
"Alright, I will make this quick, Steve. I am Katherine Hyllos, Director of this facility and active board member of the SRP. What happened to you is regrettable, but perhapse not. I offer you a chance to come with me as my personal pet---wife? Yes, pet wife. It was already the intention to deliver you to me anyways once you had transformed fully, but seeing how that is no longer possible, I now personally extend the appended offer. As my pet wife, you will fufil both roles in full. And I will do the same as your wife and owner. This is a one time offer as well, so there are no second chances. Understand that if you refuse, then we will treat this as if it never happened and go about our lives as such. For clarity, yes this position requires you to relinquish some of your freedoms over to me, however this is not nearly as bad as it sounds. Just that I retain the rights to do things to you, like change your name, and such. I can't hurt you for no reason, or commit a crime against you, so no worries there. What do you think?"
Katherine extends a gloved hand towards you. "Can I have a minute?"
"Of course, but please do be quick about it, I have many other things to do too today as well."
You thought quickly, not because you felt pressed for time, but because it really wasn't a hard choice to make. "I accept." You say, and hop a bit closer to shake her hand. The moment you do, her expression softens and she pulls you in for a hug. Wonderful, from now on you will be Ellen Hyllos, my new pet and legal wife. When Katherine breaks off the hug, you give her an odd look. "Ellen?"
"Of course silly. My wife can't be named Steve you know. So now you are named Ellen. Oh and you can just call me Kat!" It was a bit odd, but Kat seemed to have changed the total mood entirely with her personality shift. Likely this seemingly easily excited, almost childish personality, was the real Kat, and the one you first met was the facade she wore when dealing with employees. Either way, you felt somehow good about what was to become of you. At least she seemed like a good person. You didn't quite know why you just trusted her right off the bat. Maybe an animal instinct you developed was behind it?
