With that being done, Jack put the Chronivac in his backpack and began moving on before the PE teacher called out to him. "Jack, you going to be joining your class or what?"
Jack paused for a moment, not expecting the teacher to notice him. "Yes... sorry Mrs... Smith." The name of the PE teacher came to him as he called back. Slinging the backpack over his shoulders, he walked toward his class on the field. He left his bag with the pile of other backpacks.
"Glad you could join us Jack..." The teacher commented. "Now, as some of you have already found out, these rags are special. I weaved magic into them to join students together, making some of our games more interesting and more true to their name." The teacher had a smile on her face, clearly enjoying the shock some of the students were showing. "So for those who did wait for instructions, please find your partner and tie yourselves together. You can get creative with where you tie them, but if you want to participate in the race, you have to have less than four legs with your partner. The point is for you to learn how to cooperate with another person."
"Mrs. Smith... I don't have a partner?" voice called from the back of the class. It was Teddy, a student of Korean decent.
"Jack, why don't you partner up with him." The teacher said as she went around helping the students tie the rags around themselves.
Reluctantly, Jack walked towards his assigned partner. He had not intended on
