Charles Guilliman is a 66 year old retired Neurosurgeon. He served in both the military and civilian world as a leader in the field of neurosurgery. He leaded entire medical units in two very bloody wars people would come with bullets and metal and burns on their brains and spinal cords. He gave them lifesaving care that even a team of 10 normal neurosurgeons couldn’t provide. Once as a civilian he continued providing life saving care to brain cancer patients and he became a legend with in the oncology and medical genetics community. He has developed many therapeutics for brain cancer and conditions.
Last year he decided to retire after a very long career. He bought a beautiful lake front home in Tennessee. Within a month, he got bored of playing golf and tennis and all of his life has been dedicated to neurosurgery so he doesn’t have a spouse or kids. Most of his friends are either still practicing medicine or dead. So he turned to volunteering. He met a lovely young gal named Sadie. She is 24 years old and a software engineer. Even though being 24 she is a bit of an old soul. They became friends despite their massive age difference.
Now her body lay on the operating table. It is weird even during war Charles had a surgical team no matter what. No he is alone no surgical assistant or anesthesiologist. Just himself in charge of everything. He is getting ready to cut still with fear.
